After vidarn, I just beat the world record of prime 8-tuplets using rieMiner Cheesy ! The octuplet was submitted to Tony Forbes, who confirmed its validity and listed it on his website showing the largest known prime constellations.

The processor was an AMD Ryzen 3700X @ 4 GHz and it was estimated to take about 17 days to find such octuplet. However the run took about 24 days.

Hopefully breaking new records regularly with rieMiner will eventually attract some interest in Riecoin software and skilled developers having experience in other prime number related software!

A #competition channel was opened in Discord in order to discuss about tuning or improving rieMiner to make it even more competitive for beating world records (and efficient for mining). If you are interested in taking part of this fun competition, or a developer interested in improving rieMiner, you are more than welcome to post there! Anyone with a very good CPU can participate.

How do you set the miner to do this? ...

I am quite interested.

I will forward this news to gatra maybe he deigns to do at least something for the RIC project ...

Interesting, now that you say this, FreiExchange (and Zapple) are surprisingly listed in CoinMarketCap...
Looks like they do not really enforce the "at least $1000 USD equivalent of daily trading volume" requirement after all.
Though, for the long term, it is much better to get listed in much bigger exchanges than the current ones, for example in SouthXchange, rather than risk to be delisted again from CoinMarketCap...

Yeah, but Zapple doesn't display data on CMC, FreiExchange does have its pairs listed on CMC.

There's no need to wait for a listing on a bigger exchange which might not happen anytime soon it seems.  In the meantime Riecoin can get CMC presence because of the FreiEX listing which is better than no presence at all imo.

The main reason why it got delisted from CMC is because of the Polo delist and thus Riecoin was not represented any longer on an exchange that was listed on CMC.

Hi, Radium Core product manager here. Just dropping by to offer a suggestion to you guys.

I see Riecoin is listed on Freiexchange. Make a few trades on there (can be one person buy/sell a bit to himself), take a screenshot and send it to Coinmarketcap so Riecoin at least has CMC presence again.

Here's the Coinmarketcap request form link:

Thank you for info. Will share to my friends on twitter Smiley

Thank you Cheesy ! You can also share about SouthXchange.

They changed the voting conditions and made the threshold much easier to reach. Anyone can now vote for Riecoin more easily by buying SXCC.

Quote
Every Wednesday we pick the most voted coin. Only one coin is selected. 1 vote = 1 SXCC. You can buy SXCC here. Minimum 250000 votes required to be considered. Votes are cumulative from week to week.

1 Sxcc is currently worth ~100 satoshis so in Btc it is ~0.25. Before, the minimum was 0.5 Btc. If people could donate 0.05-0.1 Btc we could be listed there soon! But small contributions like 1000 or even 100 votes are also welcome! Spread the word!
We currently have 3501/250000 votes thanks to Czakris. Too bad they did not translate the 0.007 Btc to 7000 votes...

Also if someone could create and manage a Twitter/Facebook Riecoin account that would be nice too. Personally I am not really into social networks...

Here are more precise conditions for coins voting in C-Patex:

Quote
- To vote a candidate you must have at least 10 PATS in your balance and a minimum of 0.01 BTC in trades volume
- Users having more than 100 PATS and more than 0.1 BTC trades volume can vote twice
- Users having more than 1000 PATS and more than 1 BTC in trades volume can vote three times

So you need to use the exchange a bit in order to vote, it is not as straightforward as I thought.
Right now, a Pats is worth about 0.0002 Btc.
Otherwise you can send some Ltc to the Riecoin's voting address.

Currently I cannot vote, but I invite people to vote for Riecoin if they can as having Riecoin relisted in CoinMarketCap would be great, and this exchange, while very small, has much more volume than Zapple.

New rieMiner Release – 0.91

A minor release is out: rieMiner 0.91. It brings a few enhancements, but no performance increase. A miner could as well continue using 0.9 without much issues. Find the latest Win64 and Deb64 binaries here! Updates:

Thank you for hard work.
I launched riecoin mining on all my farms - in parallel with mining with video cards, I get a Riecoin coin. I support the project as much as I can ...

New rieMiner Release – 0.91

A minor release is out: rieMiner 0.91. It brings a few enhancements, but no performance increase. A miner could as well continue using 0.9 without much issues. Find the latest Win64 and Deb64 binaries here! Updates:

  • For Solo Mining, Bech32 addresses are now supported (only P2PWKH for now though, P2WSH support may eventually come later);
  • Some minor interface changes, in particular a better estimation of the time to find a block, and there is now a proper and very precise earning estimation in Pooled Mining in RIC/day!
  • There was a bug which broke the statistics in Pooled Mining when the Difficulty changed, this is now fixed;
  • When mining using a Primorial Number bigger than 40, the base primes shown are now correct. This is important for people trying to beat records with the Benchmark Mode;
  • The memory estimation is more precise.

If you compare Solo and Pooled Mining performance, you will find out that Pooled Mining is around 10% slower than Solo Mining. It was actually always the case, due to the condition of what makes a submission a share (first number prime and at least 4 primes in total). Thus, the issue is not at the miner's end, but the pools' one, and there is no way to fix this unless pools change the conditions of what a share is. In Discord, I gave a detailed explanation of the problem.

We still reminder everyone that we are always looking for new developers so we can make more exciting releases more often!

Help Riecoin get listed on c-Patex.

Voting list is here. https://c-patex.com/voting-en.php
I already nominated and gave my 2 votes for Riecoin.
To vote you need to be a registered user of C-patex and own some PATS (their own currency). PATS howevewer are not deducted from your account after voting, so you can just buy some PATS, vote and then sell them.

Sounds good as the exchange is listed in CoinMarketCap, even though it is still one of these tiny exchanges. I might see how much a Pats is worth and vote as well.
Not much news from Guytp and Zapple nor a lot of changes since months is also a bit concerning.

Hey guys, I've been paying attention to the Hashrate Distribution of the network and uBlock.it currently has an Extraction Share of 46% of the last 100 blocks and 39% of the last 1000. Maybe someone could help steer this percentage back down? Anyways, just showing my concern. I'll try to add more power to the network here soon, but I'm just a small fish in this pond.

Unfortunately for now it is very easy to acquire enough computational power to mine a significant part of the blocks. Someone or a few people (and not a lot) is mining there with a lot of power, and as long as there are only few Riecoin miners, we cannot do much unfortunately. Spread the word to make new miners join!

The Riecoin project has been taken over by its community since a while, due to the founder gatra basically abandoning everyone.
Unfortunately, the current Riecoin maintainers are only volunteers; we are not able to contribute it consistently due to lack of free time, and the project progresses very slowly.
For this reason, we are also constantly looking for new developers.
Some were able to reach gatra a few months ago, but so far he still has yet to show that he is not just making empty promises. He claimed to come back but never did, and never paid the bounty for the clo1's work regarding the upgrade from 0.10.2 to 0.16.3. But who knows if he would suddenly come back, personally I don't have much hope...

There is no Android wallet for now, and probably not until a while unless new developers join us.

You can browse https://riecoin.dev/ to learn more. There is a (small) list of exchanges here (though basically only Zapple can be used for now). If you like Riecoin, you can contribute to get it listed in SouthXchange, which will also restore Riecoin in CoinMarketCap.
Also join us to Discord to get involved and know better how the project is going!
I don't know what is the last time you checked out Riecoin so probably the best is to catch up by yourself by reading all the posts in this topic and other social media since your absence.

Thank you for detailed info. I will join discord Smiley
