Could someone tell me in what way(s) RLC would be different (better or worse) than Elastic (XEL) ?
This kind of projects has a huge potential
XEL looks nice too.
But the RLC team seems to me a super team.
- The main team members are familiar with track record and know each other
- 15 years of distributed computing experience
- Specialized teams and almost all team employees have academic level
- Universities and students are involved in the project
- Connections in Europe and China
- Clear roadmap
I'm not involved with Iexec, but from my work as project manager, I have experience working with academic teams who want to achieve a commercial goal. Employees with an academic level who aim to achieve a good product, has already been investigated in theory whether the product can be realized. They calculate that they have low salary in the first years of the project, but know that if they are doing well in 4 years the money will flow.
But I can not find much about the XEL team.
But I assume they are not that properly trained as the RLC team.
That they have less experience than the RLC team.
They do not cooperate with universities and no students are involved.
I can not find a roadmap, just interim updates.
That's why I think RLC is better.
