Matt or Jack? Why not both!
Currently only staking a couple hours a day. Although I will be offering rides to work everyday! Time to get your friends to buy!

My wallet is working at last, I was pulling my hair out over it. I think the 1 day stake is a bit annoying, I can't really keep my computer turned on all day.

That's not how staking works. Your coin age just has to be 24h, not your time with the wallet open. You can open the wallet every month, 6 months, or year if you want, and you still get your rewards. Rewards are coins*(interestPerYr/daysHeld). For example:

Let's say it's 365%. That's 1% per day.
You hold 100 coins.
If you keep your wallet open for 24h straight, you will get (avg.) 1 coin for that stake
If you close the wallet and open it a week later, you will get (avg.) 7 coins for that stake
If you close the wallet and open it a year later, you will get (avg.) 365 coins for that stake

Open the wallet when you want. All age means is that it won't start staking UNTIL it's been at least that long until you got them.

Thanks for clarifying that! Although, doesn't that mean that people aren't actually incentivised to open their wallet constantly to help the network out?

Linux client works fine, running Ubuntu 13.04. Steemit could be a good idea but that place is losing a lot of confidence lately. I don't think there are that many users active as before now. I think just stick to the press releases and focus on a niche and it'll be fine.

Kamehameha!!!
Tried my wallet and everything seems to be ok, although I never had crashes before.
By the way have you thought about making an announcement on Steemit? There's a very healthy amount of users there and it could bring some extra exposure.. I didn't see any of this cross social media linking in the marketing plan you posted, but maybe it's something worth looking into?

Good play, if you decide to go ahead with it I am part of the Korean community on there I have a bit of reputation and can help with some publicity.

Update

Greetings everybody, as you know the client we had on release had several issues which we have gone through a lot of trouble to fix. Initially the network was unable to go fully into Proof of Stake and with our last update, this was fixed.

We then had issues with users who reported orphaned stake rewards as well as clients crashing. This has also now been fixed in our latest update to the code.

Please make sure you update your client to the latest version 1.2.1.0

If you have any other issues, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Now that the coin is smoothly running, our attention is now to getting the beta platform out. More details will follow shortly.

This update fixed my crashing problem now. Staking still has some occasional orphans, nothing out of the ordinary though. Thanks!

My persistent crashing is no longer happening. I think it's working now! Just a side note, my CPU usage on the client is rather high, is that something I should be concerned about?
