Hello to all,

I recently just started mining with an old laptop, as this seems like a great coin to CPU mine. I have an Intel I7 4510u that tops out at 2.9ghz and brings in about 150-200kh's

My two questions are:

Is there any way to optimize my .bat file for an increased amount of hashing power. My .bat is

         hodlminer-avx2.exe -o stratum+tcp://roi.optiminer.pl:5000 -u RTMdpQtbrU257ecTkQKNubmNcNxa2yGqcY -t 4 -p x

My second question is:

Lets say you were to pick a date a few months in advance, a date when you wanted all of your Term Deposits to mature at the exact same time.

Is it smart to create a term deposit every single day of your total balance and then after each day passes after the initial deposit, to do a deposit of your total balance again, but one day less.

This way all of your coins are earning interest and mature fully on the same day.

Thank you for your time and happy mining!  Grin Grin

Hi ROI.  I wonder whether I can score a block with z800 24 thread/24GB, not without some luck should see a block a day or so, right?

Can someone please advise or paste link to miner - cant find a working one, optiminer crashes.  If there are optimal settings for mem/threads kindly advise.

Thank you much!

With a rig like that you can get blocks solo mining but your success will also depend on the network hashrate.

You should watch these two videos because I think they will answer your mining questions:

Any news regarding the solo cluster pool? Will it ever be back?

It be comming back dont worry. There is alot of work to do to make the changes. We want to give the miners things others dont give miners.

Understand I am not a big coder. My skills are in breaking code not making it. Now all of a suddon I have the need to make it. So its a slow thing for me. I have visions but lack of coding skills makes it slow for me. If anyone has good coding skils and or has run pools/set up pools give me a shout.

As with most I also have kids to see to but I'm a single dad of 2 young boys and have a business to run to. So again time is not something I have much of.

The cluster will be back but with a host of new features and improvements... it will be worth the wait!

Anyone can tell me the command to up the threads for mining in the wallet? Smiley

its something you have to set in ROIcoin.conf file and its called genproclimit=4 ( only allows even nrs so 2,4,6,8 etc .. )
If you don't have a ROIcoin.conf , then make one in the same folder as your wallet.dat in %APPDATA%/Roaming/ROIcoin folder.

Great man thanks i will make a conf file with these settings.

A windows installer. That is a pass for me. Just zip the qt file and upload that and maybe more people might mine this coin.

I provide multiple options, not sure what your problem is.

The Release Page https://github.com/ROIcoin/ROIcoin/releases  has the following options for windows users:

https://github.com/ROIcoin/ROIcoin/releases/download/v1.1.6.000/ROIcoin-qt_x64_v1160.exe
For those who don't like to download exe's there is
https://github.com/ROIcoin/ROIcoin/releases/download/v1.1.6.000/ROIcoin-1.1.6-win64.zip
For those who are first time users there is
https://github.com/ROIcoin/ROIcoin/releases/download/v1.1.6.000/ROIcoin-1.1.6-win64-setup.exe

My wallet runs fine on windows 10 - with one exception: on every boot it says: blockchain cannot be loaded and I have to sync it every time...
Have to admit: Wallet and data directories are on another harddrive and direcotry (intern), so no "%appdata%"

Can I do something so I don't need to sync the wallet on every reboot?

Currently we have a very large amount of wallets running all around the world and nobody has ever reported this issue.

My best suggestion for you is to submit this issue with as many details and documentation as possible here: https://github.com/ROIcoin/ROIcoin/issues
I just loaded up my wallet from 3 weeks back all is fine for me working good. Fish

For those who appear to be stuck, I uploaded a new zip file with the entire blockchain db , download it, stop the wallet, delete the blocks/chainstate subfolders in your ROIcoin folder and unzip the new file... then start the wallet, you should be a few blocks from synced...
https://github.com/ROIcoin/ROIcoin/releases/download/v1.1.6.000/ROIcoin-05142018-blockindex.zip
The new zip file must be unzipped in your %APPDATA%\Roaming\ROIcoin folder ( which is the default datadir for the wallet )
