[UPDATE][M] Ryo Wallet Atom 1.2.0-0.4.0.0
[M] - Mandatory. The update contains security fixes or contains fork update (wallet will stop working after some height reach).

Ryo Wallet Atom updates:

- Ryo Currency 0.4.0.0 "Lorentz transform" binaries
- "Minimize to Tray" option in settings.
- Transaction history tab optimisations (speed up loading tx history tab with lots of transactions in it)
- Improved startup handling (various startup checks: node and blockchain storage availability, files permissions)
- Add "Enhanced Private Network Mode" for non 24/7 wallets. (Disables incoming connections, for wallets hidden in tray - disabling of this checkbox is recommended)
- Warn when sending to a RYoL address without payment ID (dismissable, configurable in settings)
- Warn when using wallet with empty password (dismissable, configurable in settings)
- Updated to Node v10.15.1 and Electron 4.0.4 (improved speed and responsiveness)

[UPDATE] Xmr-stak 2.8.0 adding CN-GPU support
This release contains support of implemented Cryptonight-GPU algo by Ryo Currency devs. In order to use auto switching on fork date - use "currency" : "ryo", in pools.txt config.
https://github.com/fireice-uk/xmr-stak/releases/tag/2.8.0
It is better to rename your AMD.txt and NVIDIA.txt and restart miner to regenerate new settings.

(IMPORTANT) Auto-config works ok in most cases, but feel free to experiment with settings and please report in this thread:
auto generated config + hashrate
fine-tuned config + hashrate

Warning! CN-GPU uses about 75% more power than CN-Heavy, or 33% more than CN-V8. Please make sure your card is adequately powered and cooled

This release also fixes a long-standing problem with some AMD drivers and implements support for the new Turtle PoW variant.

P.S HiveOS will need to update it's build to contain new features. We will notify their support asap.

Our current code usage restrictions expired today. All code released up to today fell under the public domain.

(You can find community debate link about licensing in Ryo library: https://ryo-currency.com/library)

This is the core implementation of Ryo. It is open source and completely free to use without restrictions, except for those specified in the license agreement below. There are no restrictions on anyone creating an alternative implementation of Ryo that uses the protocol and network in a compatible manner.
Free repository link: https://github.com/ryo-currency/ryo-libre

The further development will continue in this repository, and will have status source-available until Feb.1 2020:

Our current licensing expires Feb 1, 2019. All code released up to that point will fall under the public domain upon that date. This includes the 0.4.0.0 release. We are not able to change the licensing of the 0.4.0.0 release since it is already on GitHub in the dev branch under the Feb 1 2019 license.

On Feb 1 2019, we will duplicate the ryo-currency repo as ryo-currency-libre. This new repo will always contain public domain code, and will be updated any time new code becomes public domain.

Also on Feb 1 2019, we will update the license on the main ryo-currency repo to protect the code for another 12 months. Thus new code after our initial 0.4.0.0 release will be source-avail until Feb 1 2020.

At the end of 2019, we will re-evaluate the conditions of the market and what sort of position Ryo is in.

Ryo developers fireice_uk and psychocrypt introduce new POW - Cryptonight-GPU.

https://github.com/ryo-currency/ryo-currency/pull/163

Testing of CN-GPU has started in testnet!
Though this is pre-release info (we still need to test everything and fine-tune), there is small FAQ on this for our community:

1. General:
Hashrates will become slightly higher in numbers. Power consumption will be higher too.

2. Performance:
We aim to make both Nvidia and AMD perform relatively same, even though there is a huge variance in GPU architectures and memory combinations. This serves our concept of fair GPU mining for both parties.
CPU mining becomes even less performing, eliminating the possibility of creation botnets.

3. Fpga:
When programmed, FPGAs will be able to mine Ryo, but the performance of FPGA that costs 20+k USD will be comparable with hi-end GPU that costs <1000usd making FPGAs highly inefficient. More cheap FPGAs wll perform even worse than that.

4.ASICs:
ASICS are not relevant in RYO mining.

5.Nicehash:
It is obvious that NH will fall off. But in future, if a lot of crypto projects will swap to CN-GPU POW (like it was with our CN-Heavy), NH may add it to its database.

6.Miner software
We will update Xmr-stak. No separate miner will be required. Other miners will soon update probably their binaries too.

7.More
Public betatesters will have the ability to test new POW in daemon.

8. When?
It will be implemented in 0.4.0.0 fork. The date of fork and height will be determined when binaries will be released and after we finish testing the POW.

Also 0.4.0.0 fork will contain these features which are finished and tested:
- First in CN projects: new, anonymous uniform payment ID system that is backwards compatible and hides the fact that you use a payment ID.
- First in CN projects: increased tx ring size to 25 (Current ring size is 13).
- Bulleproof technology. (with doubled ringsize - transaction size in kb will reduce ~10-12 times).
- New difficulty algo for further reduction of network diff fluctuations.

Is it possible to restore from seed to any wallet?  I had RYO from Sumo fork and mining on the first RYO wallet.  Been mining to that address for a while and just noticed the Atom update.  I don't have the original wallet files, just the seed.  Is it still possible to install an older version of the GUI, restore from seed, then transfer those coins to Atom?
just download newest Atom and restore from seed. Seed key is all you need to back up to have access to wallet any time, any PC

CRYPTOPIA is offline due to hack. Police are investigating the issue. We are following their news, will announce when there will be any updates from them.

Let me, again, remind few rules:
1. YOUR wallet is the best place to mine coins into. If you didn't set up own wallet, it is time to spend 2 minutes with Atom - https://ryo-currency.com/wallet
2. An exchange is not for KEEPING funds, it is - for trading. The amount of funds to keep, everyone will determine himself, but there is an unspoken rule - amount equal to one trading day.
3. If you keep funds, don't keep funds on one exchange. Reserve exchange in our case: https://tradeogre.com/exchange/BTC-RYO

I wondering is a possible to mine CRyptoCurrency through nicehash, is there a guide to do this process?

Currently yes, Ryo Currency is using the Cryptonight-Heavy PoW pioneered by Ryo devs Fireice_uk and Psychocrypt, this PoW is available on nicehash for bidding.  Sorry no, guide.
