I agree with the price of .001 as a start but mining needs to be higher.  Coins are only owned by such a few people... Needs more diversity.

yea ... an exchange would be helpful  Cool

BigVern confirmed this in Cryptsy chat... waiting for it to go live.

Just as a friendly reminder to panic sellers:
Remember coins, like anything else, are worth what you say they're worth...all it takes is one person dumping a few thousand SBC for .00001500 BTC and a few panic sellers following for everyone to be screwed. If everyone agreed not to sell their SBC for less than .001BTC then it's worth >.001BTC (assuming there are buyers). Also if you look at most of the last dozen coins that have gone on Cryptsy, the best time to sell isn't the first few hours anymore. Look at HYC going for .000015 - .000035 BTC in the first day then leveling out at .00006 - .00009 BTC the next few days. Same with LKY, GLD, and others. The first few minutes are always crazy high but then the buyers that will pay anything for a new coin clear out and sellers showing up an hour or two after its been added then panic thinking its sinking and the have to cash out now sell for cheap and either burn themselves or burn themselves and everyone else.
I could see if this was EZcoin, FST, or another "junk" coin or one without potential unloading your stash quickly as possible but this one actually has a chance to be up with FTC, TRC, NMC, PPC, and others that go for >.001 BTC...so have some patience and don't sell low.

I have heard from someone who asked BigVern.

SBC is going on Cryptsy soon, after EZcoin is added.

So now that ezcoin is up on cryptsy, stablecoin is next?

artos, could you add my pool to the main list please?  http://sbc.01pq.com

I've doubled the payout until the hashrate goes up (or my supply of stablecoins runs out, whichever comes first Smiley

Just joined your pool...  What's your supply like?  I may donate a 50% to keep it fresh. Smiley

Awesome, I'm still in the green right now as far as incoming coins with my donation so I'm not too worried but I appreciate it!

VERSION 1.2 RELEASED

This is considered a mandatory update. Transaction fees have been reduced by 50%. P2Pool users in particular will experience the greatest benefits.

Windows Binary: http://sourceforge.net/projects/stablecoin/files/stablecoin-qt.zip/download
GitHub: https://github.com/stablecoin/StableCoin

Hi Artos, I'm getting random crashes on the v1.2 QT windows binary.
Seems like after many hours of inactivity when I come back to my PC as soon as I click onto Stablecoins Wallet I get a runtime error and it terminates? I'll get a screen grab next time it happens.
I'm running this on Windows 8 64-Bit.

Have had to revert to v1.1.

Could I ask what other updates were included in 1.2 apart from the reduced Transaction fees?

Thanks
That was the only change. Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

Seems OK on windows 7 64 bit

Confirming for working on Windows 7 SP1 Ultimate 64 bit

another premined coin. you kids are cracking me up!

Agreed, or at least premine with some sort of a time-release to ensure the dev doesn't just dump his coins, artos seems to be responsible enough though, and given the reaction time of this coin plus the consistent hashrate I think it has promise.

I have setup a stablecoin pool using the new client.  0% fees right now and I'm using the full block value when dispersing payments so transaction fees go to the miners.
