ANYONE CARE TO ENLIGHTEN MY STUPID ASS?
THANK YOU
download the wallet from their official github
https://github.com/superbitcoin/SuperBitcoin/releases
install on your computer, sync the blockchain (maybe 100 GB harddisk space or more needed)
then you can just import your private key (which contains BTC at the time of fork)
does this also work if my coins lay on a segwit adress at the time of the fork?
I made a thread asking specifically for help
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/help-needed-import-priv-key-from-electrum-bech32-address-into-core-2916201
I tried and nothing worked so far.
As I said there, I'm hoping the sbtc team will upgrade their fork to 0.16 core functionality.
Don't even think about looking for an electrum sbtc wallet. The only ones I know are scams.
but you are asking for bech23 addresses... my coins lie on a normal segwit adress starting with 3 or is that the same problem?
Oh, you might be luckier then.
Actually, its bech32 addresses that are "normal" segwit addresses. Those starting with 3 are a temporary solution to improve compatibility, or so I believe. Maybe someone can clarify.
