Folks, just a question. I just checked https://semux.info/pool and it is indicating that "Registration is closed."  It was just open earlier this morning.

What happened, and is there a possibility that registration might open again? Any other way to vote for delegate and get rewarded?

guys, I'm tired of looking at these signatures, the more the logo changed as I understood it, and one very good friend helped me and that's what happened, if you like, then we put merits, otherwise we should have received the grade rank at the end of the week, and then on you now and does not shine ...

I if that then other ranks, too, for the next signature week. I'll ask you to do, and finally change to normal signatures, I understand that the signature contest has already passed and no one has properly signed the signature as I understood it, and if I do not get a reward either, but if You as a community for which I am also sick and experiencing enjoy it, then I'll write to the developers, let them approve the normal signatures)

As far as I know the only way to make SEM is to be a validator.  To become a Validator, you firstly need to be a Delegate (this burns 1000SEM to register).  Then people vote for the Validators from the delegates, with 1 SEM per vote (this locks your SEM votes, but you can unvote if you want your SEM back).  As the network grows so do the number of validators, up to the current max of 100 validators.  Some of these Validators act as pools, paying out to their supporting Voters with a share of the SEM they forge.

I hope this all makes sense so far?

I think all of the Validators act as pool, because if not then what then what is the point of voting them?

Though I have question do we need to keep our wallet open, after voting in order to earn semux?

Our pool pays once per day. To participate, you just need to vote for the delegates:
general01 or general02. Enjoy!

Does it make sense to deplete all your existing SEM and use it for voting?

Yes it make sense to vote for your own delegate or for a pool because you will get rewarded with SEM for it (you will earn coins).

Just make sure you leave a little balance so you can unvote if you change your mind.  It will take a normal fee of 0.005 to vote or unvote.

Ok, great! I get it now. Thanks!

Now if only I have more SEM to vote... Smiley

I think it will be a good idea to make post on how to mine/earn semux. Since it looks like it is quite complicated and different from the traditional mining. I will get on creating a thread to mine/earn semux for dummies.

PS: in the mean time it will be great to get the buy/sell thread unlocked so people can trade semux. OTC Buy/Sell thread

Great idea. I too would like to know how to mine/earn SEM. Smiley

I did see that another trade thread opened up too:

I'm not sure what the rules are about this sort of thing though?

After this thread was suspended I've removed my signature.
Is that the reason why I didn't get my SEM's in my wallet?
I had the signature for weeks but nobody replied on my posts here.

Is there a tutorial / introduction on voting for delegates? I just signed up at https://semux.info/pool, and not really sure how to proceed.  Thanks.

UPDATE:

I believe voting can be done from the semux wallet.  Still have a few questions.

How many votes can I make? Is there a limit?

Is there a particular stat of each delegate I need to look for when choosing who to vote? Or can I just vote for anyone randomly?

I think there is also a note on the website to encourage voting for those delegates with less votes. Why is this?

First choose the 'Delegate' based on your pool > Open your wallet and find 'Delegates Tab' > Find the name based on your Pool and vote it.
For example;

You're choosing 'Camel' on https://semux.info/pool.
find 'Camel' on your wallet and vote it and done.

There's no limit,

To turn it to Validator.

I see. Thanks. Will vote for those in my delegate pool.

When I was experimenting earlier, I voted for someone outside of my pool.  What is the implication on this?  Should I unvote?

We will get the rewards based on the shares.
So,
it would be better for you to unvote him, because you do not know how much 'shares' that you will get from him/her.
should be like that,

Ok, got it! Unvoted. Thanks for clarifying.

One more question. Does it make sense to deplete all your existing SEM and use it for voting?  I assume when you unvote, the SEM will be returned to you?

Yes,because i did it.
When you're voting it,your balance will be locked by the system.
and when you're unvoting it you balance will be unlocked by the system and it will be on your wallet.
