167 tx/s is very fast for the current blockchain confirmation speed, and if it is based on decentraland, I think SEM will be a great change.

That's a great achievement, but just the tip of the iceberg for Semux.

Just above (in this thread) the semux dev confirmed Semux can handle 10,000 txs/block, but they have just limited it to 5,000 for now.

Hi all, just joined the airdrop...
A very stupid question.... i closed the wallet but not able to open it again using the password I have set when i first opened it?
You can enter your private key to open your wallet, and then reset your password, as long as you have a backup of your private key can be opened

Can someone explain this to me. How can the blockchain be ' high-performance' when it's written in Java ? Isn't that a contradiction ?
If someone told me it's written in C, i might believe them when they claim high performance. Or what is high-performance when not the code?
Someone care to elaborate ?
Blockchain measures performance by how many transactions can it process per block and less on how fast the language used to create it. Currently Semux can handle up to 5000tx per block every 30 seconds. Which is faster than most blockchain project that I know of. That's high performance.

So about 167 tx/s?  Shocked

Is there any project with a traditional blockchain that handles more transactions per second?

Ethereum was lower than 167. There is a number left in my mind which is 70 but not sure it is true or not. I tried to find the current number but couldn't find it.

Anyway it is great to handle 5000tx per block and will rise in time too.

Yeah, ~167 tps is the most per second I know of. As I recall Eth does about 15 and BTC about 7. I guess this is dependent on block size limits. Would be interesting to know how big dBFT blocks can get.

I joined two weeks back. My name is in Signature Campaign; but still no coins in wallet.
Block Explorer shows you got the coins for the Week 2 signature campaign.

I have difficulty to get a Semux wallet, if my PC is not qualified for it. I have followed the instructions but I am failing. this project looks interesting to me, how is the solution, if anyone experienced the same thing  Huh Huh

What OS are you using. Make sure yo install Java. Also (Windows user) You may also need to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package.

Last I was aware devs were saying 10,000 txs/sec will be possible.  Can any devs confirm or deny?

We can definitely handle 10,000 txs per block, based on our internal test.

However, we will sacrifice performance a little bit initially, by limiting the block size, to increase stability.

As the network gets more stable, we will propose to increase the limit.

If I see this project is a very promising project. I am interested to participate in this project. I have a question other than a signature campaign whether the project also has a twitter or facebook campaign ?

no other campaigns running right now

Actually, i saw a semux faucet on some telegram. It was definitely not official thing too obvious, but it was giving 0.30 semux per 12 hours so i said pass Smiley

There is also BTC Airdrop for people holding btc at height #480000
