There's no wallet.dat with Shift. You gain access to your wallet through your passphrase (ie your wallet IS your passphrase), either with the webwallet, the desktop wallet or by running a node. Fore more security, it is recommended to setup a second passphrase.
1st passphrase only => wallet access, send coins and vote.
1st + 2nd passphrase => 1st=wallet access, 2nd=send coins and vote

Step by step team, well done! Its not easy not to be overhyped with this project, incredible and advanced development, product almost ready and done, and a ridiculous low marketcap. With the new marketing plan and the release of phantom this is a easy x10 before year ends, 100 million marketcap.

Shift doesn't have a official telegram chat, maybe a user created a unofficial telegram chat group.Also, in the OP is only a link to a telegram bot, to check out node status..
