For something so hyped, the price is really low. There's only 11mil coins circulating. It's either a shitcoin or a sleeping giant Wink

Wait until they reveal their new website running on their dAPP called Phantom (on the blockchain).

yup...YUUUUGE.  wait until the whales get their asses in gear on this coin, it'll blow up bigtime.  Cool

Hi, Mr piston Honda..how much do you think the price could go up...monero,dash or ETH? Grin Grin Grin

Is there a guide somewhere how to stake Shift?

You can vote for 33 delegates with 1 vote. Every vote costs 1 Shift. The top 101 delegates are the ones receiving SHIFT. The pools are sharing their profit (% differs per pool). There are also delegates that don't share but contribute securing the network for example or he/she is a developer of site. Chceck out https://dpostools.com/Shift/ you can see an overview of the pools that share their profit.
´`
Thank you. Does this mean that I should vote for 33 different pools?

With 1 vote you can select or deselect 33 delegates. So with 3 votes (costs 3 Shift) you can vote for 99 delegates.
Within the top 101 not all delegates share profits with their voters. Some give 50% of their profit to the team for development for example or some run dedicated servers to keep the network stable etc.

I also read they are working on a different voting system where it's easier to become a delegate within the reach of the top 101 (and earn SHIFT), but this will all be more clear once the new website is out (which can be any moment now).

If you want more info, better come chat at Ryver: https://shiftnrg.ryver.com/index.html

Cheers!

I've just heard about SHIFT for the first time, and cannot read the whole thread right now. Is someone willing to make a few sentences summary? Which is the stage of development of this project? Which are the differences versus MaidSafe?

Decentralized IPFS website hosting (Phantom) and DNS capabilities (Jenga) new Shift website is due to be launched before Christmas which will be hosted on their Phantom product. Thus mark the launch of their flagship product to the public.

Sounds very interesting. But, lucky as I am, I have discovered this project just one days too late, when the pirce has just doubled! Now I'll have to wait for it to retrace lower...

yeah it's silly how good this project is and cheap it is for now, it'll do a blocknet re. price most likely when the time comes  Cool

as usual ppl need to research, only cos this doesn't get all the fake-hype-shilling bullshit like scam shit coins do.

ppl will be sad when they've missed the train.

I think, however, that the reason for the great rise today Shift is just speculation .... as in the past few days it went down without a real motivation today is only rising to rebound to the strong losses that have passed, as are all the other coins in the market.
The new Korean exchange is just not moving, and in fact we will see that in 1-2 days when all investors will move again on bitcoin for the next fork, all the other coins will come down without any reason.

At the moment, they are just money and speculation.
The real and good projects will be rewarded after the fall of November!

A new exchange is now offering SHIFT trading! UPbit Exchange is the Korean exchange with the biggest potential! It works in partnership with Kakaotalk, which is more popular than Facebook in Korea.
Upbit offers two trading pairs BTC/SHIFT and KRW/SHIFT

That's awesome!  Cheesy

EDIT: You should contact coinmarketcap.com to add Upbit under the Shift market tab. Smiley

hi
I've installed the Nano wallet. Is it possible with this wallet to save the wallet.dat ?

There's no wallet.dat with Shift. You gain access to your wallet through your passphrase (ie your wallet IS your passphrase), either with the webwallet, the desktop wallet or by running a node. Fore more security, it is recommended to setup a second passphrase.
1st passphrase only => wallet access, send coins and vote.
1st + 2nd passphrase => 1st=wallet access, 2nd=send coins and vote

ok thanks
if my computer get stolled or crash, I lost my SHIFT?

No you have the passphrase, it's the seed that generates your wallet addresses and private keys.
