A friend and I have a card at our disposal.  It is an MSI R4870.  We aren't technical people at all with regards to mining; never dunnit before Smiley

We don't know what coin it would be best-suited to mine, and we don't know how to configure it.

Bitcoinasourus, is it possible for us to mail it somewhere, have you or someone else put it to work, and send some fair amount of the resulting SILK to our wallets?  We know it won't be much, and that's okay.
How many SILK would this card produce per day, on average, if configured to mine the coin it is best suited for?

Would you be interested in something like the following arrangement?:

We send you the card
You configure it to mine whatever coin is appropriate in this pool
You keep however much of the SILK it produces that you think is fair for yourself and send the rest to us
We trust that you have reasonable/fair judgment as far as how much you keep to offset energy/time.

Thanks.  We want to help support this but only have one card and no idea how to use it Smiley
Peace,

Hi
That card has around these specs:

GPU              kH/s       Core clock     Memory Clock         Software(Miner)                                 Config
MSI R4870      175         780             1000                    cgminer 3.7.2          -g 1 -i 17 -w 128 --thread-concurrency 3800

The best right now on Coinwarz would be $0.12/day but if you count electricity you should lose money $0.72 for electricity I guess since you pay different in US per Kwh, I'm in Ireland
Without electricity bills your best bet would be to mine the most profitable one in a multipool like the one Bitcoinasourus is setting up right now and change them to SILK of course  Grin for future profits Cheesy
It will give you 1600 SILK per month at 400 satoshi    and there you go ....we have another

Yep it sure does. All coins we mine are sold then we use that btc to buy Silk. The big picture is to use the pool to put buy pressure on the price.
We are mining coins from 3 different algorithms so anyone can get in. If you have sha256 asic or scrypt asic or GPU you can mine silk. The pool creates a secure public hash you use to mine with. This hash tracks your shares on the server, so once I send the silk to the pool it self distributes the coins to the miners wallets. The pool doesn't hold coins longer than to send them to miners.

Still doing tweaks.

Here are the coins we mine, coins are exchanged at least once per day. If I am not busy I do it as often as I can, so payments come a few times per day.

Yeah, the live stats are just for piece of mind.  I don't really care as long as the shares aren't being lost.  For the scrypt switching, you can't try to have it keep up with profits real-time.  It's way too fast.  Multipool.us mines for a minimum of 15 minutes before switching.

I was going to see If we can keep the hashrate on the coin until we find a block. But then we might be mining at less profit. Either way I feel like the scrypt coins switch too often.
My next tweak is going to swap some of the scrypt coins for sha256 and x11. To try and slow the switch, without having to edit the switch aglo.

This switch algo also chases difficulty, maybe thats moving things too fast.

Version 1.20 of the wallet works great
Just voted, that's a handy feature to have
Just looked at the rich list
WOW

Nice distribution isn't it?  Largest holder only has 5.4% of all SILK.  Not bad at all.  Most of the big holders are all members of our revival community.  I'm #30 (ish) Smiley

Anyone else want to beta test the silk pool? I got a few of you.

Payments were hung up but are now flowing out. 0% fee's while the pool is beta testing.

Just some stress tests and tweaks to the layout then it's going public so it won't be beta much longer.

We have a 20 coin profit switch, mining SHA256, Scrypt and X11 algo's. I am also doing tweaks on the coin list so any thoughts on that are appreciated.

Hi
I just received a couple of Zeus miners scrypt 28-30 Mh and trying to set them up on Multipool.us but no payment in SILK there
I'd love to try your pool with one of them
What do I have to do?
(sorry if you explained that before but been busy and could not read the earlier posts)
Cheers

I'm curious about the big picture of how this mining pool works.  Is it mining other coins and then converting the reward from the other coins into SILK and sending them to your wallet?

If so, that's friggin' cool!

It creates some consistent commerce/buy orders, adding some amount of adoption to the economy.
Well done!

Yes I am looking into that.. I had the same complaint. I have 30mh on it and some times it graphs as 15. Then if you look in tab stats it shows 40+. I've had a few panic runs into the office to see WTF is going on with the scrypt asics. My x11 rate has been closer to the actual rate.

I think it's just a problem with gathering the hash stats while the coin is switching. it shouldn't be effecting the submitted shares, and payments for them.

Will get back to you about it when I have an answer.

The wallet import process is slow. There is also an error with pre 1.9.0 wallets importing the privkey. I would prefer just having an account. Like MPOS pools

Getting paid in SILK is pretty awesome and saves me time from having to do my own exchanging! Smiley

Hey guys, I need some beta testers for the Silk Pool. It's taken a while but we have a 20 coin profit switch pool going.

We need some more SHA256, Scrypt and X11 to do final testing on the pool. I have my hashrate pointed, and will be adding constantly. But i need some people to test importing the private key into your silk wallet. Mining is done from an advanced nomp type system. Old nomp you mine with your wallet address, this pool uses a secure public hash to mine. Also to track payments to your wallet.
I've been solo mining during testing but I want to turn it up.
Payout's are working but i'm getting to the stress test point of things.

All beta testing is mined at a 0% fee.

Average has been about 1,000 silk/Scrypt Mhs. X11 I have no average because I need more mhs. SHA256 was tested early on with BTC payouts but haven't found any sha256 blocks with silk payout.

Anyhow hit me up if your interested. Might be the last time we can get coins this cheap. Price's been going up just feeding my soloming, muhaha.

I'm up and mining x11.  The wallet and key setup process has value but it's a bit confusing to follow the steps.  Even for me and I've been in this for over a year.  We'll need to work on that if we want newbies to be able to get set up.  Awesome though.  I got two payments this morning Smiley

I'm not sure how well the hashrate reporting works either.  Says I'm at 7MH but my rig is 21.5MH.  Either way I should average 2000 SILK/day so we'll see.
