Arteleis can you give me a short update on the 1.1 Update which is currently in developing as you say on page 1.

I think at the moment you more fixing the old stuff and thanks for that great work!

Back to the Update I dont think you want to release all together and I cannot believe that you work on everything at the same time. So can you give me a small insight which of these features will be first priority and what do you think is the time frame? 1 week? 1 month?

Thank you very much.

@Arteleis if you wanna learn how to restore a coin with great success I think Honorcoin is a good example atm. But yeah they had it a bit more easy because they made it 2.0 and we stick to 1.0

Keep your good work going!

1.1.0.0 Major Client Upgrade - so close to completion its ridiculous
MacOS and Linux Compiles - will come follwing release - linux first and mac following
Voting Platform - complete and ready to be integrated in update following client release
Exchange API Integration - Complete, will be in this version
Games Center - In process of hiring devs - please apply
App Center - in process of hiring devs - please apply
p2p Exchange - system in testing
Decentralized Marketplace - system in testing
In-Wallet Trading - to be worked on after poloniex is added
and more... - I won't talk about that right now.. lol

To be noted that the games centre/app centre is merged - Is called The SilkStream.  Planned to be released a decentralized umbrella asset.

p2pexchange/marketplace - is merged - currently in security testing, branding, and user testing - name undetermined.

Personal note to the trader who had the bots setup last night: It was a pleasure buying your coinage and reselling it back to you at a handsome profit over and over.  You just paid off one of my miners!  Please come back so I can pillage you again.

well this sucks the block chain got stuck so i cleared everything and started from block 0 and now it hangs up after every ~500 blocks and I have to restart the wallet at this rate i'll be sync'd by christmas......and YES I have the latest wallet version

Did you unzip the blockchain file into appdata?  There are a few sticks in 500 increments around 60k. Believe the blockchain download gives you to 90.

Old devs did a very poor fork at 60, we are working on it but process is slow. If you use the blockchain download it shouldnt be a prob.  Else a few restarts should fix the problem.  Believe sticks are 60k, 60.5, 61, and 61.5

lt used to be the same for me when I switched to the new wallet, but deleting the old block chain and replacing it with the new one (download that one)
did the trick
Btw I'm now on the x64 1.1 version

Good work Lorenzo!

Wonderful!!!!

The only thing is that I cannot get the background from the dashboard on the new wallet
Do I have to delete the old data before launching the new wallet(1.0.9.3)?
I know it's a minor thing but I've donated 5000 SC only to get the wallet look like that, Love that background

Also I downloaded the source code from the site and opening the INSTALL file gives me this

"Building BlackCoin
See doc/readme-qt.rst for instructions on building BlackCoin QT,
the intended-for-end-users, nice-graphical-interface, reference
implementation of BlackCoin.
See doc/build-*.txt for instructions on building blackcoind,
the intended-for-services, no-graphical-interface, reference
implementation of BlackCoin."

Shouldn't be Silkcoin there instead of Blackcoin?

Apparently it's a copy and paste

Yep it sure was.  Hence why the client died and all the exchanges froze the coin and the developers ran away.  This has been no easy fix.
In hindsight, it would have been far easier to start an entirely new coin, do a complete relaunch, go to version 2 or something along these lines..  But the comm did not want this. I did not want this either.  There has been far more work put into repair then there has been in development of the massive bank of ideas that could have already been accomplished.  Changing an old install file should not be a big issue.

And in regards to my previous comment, there has also been massive forward motion of the bank of ideas from the comm.  What everyone is going to see from Silkcoin will far surpass anything the previous devs and comm dreamed of.

This is not just a coin.  It truly is a revolution.

We are Silkcoin.

N00b question:
If I store the Silkcoin-qt-32 file in a folder on my C: drive, where is the default location to store the wallet.dat file?  I have never seen it, and would like to know where it is so I can back it up, etc.

Thanks

First off you can download wallet and once synced go to file and there is a backup wallet option in dropdown list. You can save it to where ever you would like. If you want to know specifically then go to Start - Run and type in %app and go to roaming folder. Find silkcoin folder and open. The wallet.dat file will be in there.

The wallet with the slick background is in beta testing.  Please add [email protected] to google chats and you can snatch a sneak peek there.

Yep that looks like something that should be changed. lol   It will be updated. Thank you.

There is a variety of issues that may have caused this.

The solution should be to enter into %appdata%/roaming/silkcoin

Right click on wallet.dat and save a copy in a safe place.

Delete everything but wallet.dat file and unzip blockchain download into silkcoin folder then run client again.

You also can skip the bc download and resync again.  If problem persists please pm and we'll investigate further.
