hey, is anyone working on that idea of a distributed marketplace?

We have been brainstorming ideas about this on trello, once we have a stable client, we can concentrate on building the marketplace.
The updated wallet is almost ready to go from beta to final, so we will be able to start on this once the voting platform is introduced, etc.
A huge amount of work has been done, but there is still plenty more work ahead.
The community has been great, and we are growing from strength to strength each day.

Ad Libertas!
I agree with you guys it wasn't very professional how he handled it.  We owe him for the spark that started this great revival we have now and for that we are grateful.  Outside of that, he's too preoccupied with Murraycoin and quite frankly, at this point he's not trustworthy.  I'm not saying he owed us anything but jeez, it takes two seconds to reply to a thread and he couldn't do that?  Shady.  Huh

As far as Murraycoin, it's so hard for me to get excited about a scrypt coin that does not have PoS.  They are so 2013, haha Smiley

I was the first to call bholzer out over 2 weeks ago. It's a shame people got over excited and donated even without escrow. I'm not too impressed with the way he's chosen to completely abandon any sense of accountability for his words. Doesn't inspire much confidence in any Murraycoin folks that happen to stumble upon this, either.

It was not very professional in the way he handled it, its not going to be a good image for the murraycoin community either, integrity is paramount in crypto, an apology from him would go a long way.
He could have been straight up and simply said it was a bigger task than he expected and i think most of would have accepted that.
Thankfully, the whole community has moved on together and is growing, we have a wonderful team here.

What is the status with bholzer?

Bholzer has nothing to do with this project.

I still keep wondering how this dude managed to convince me about his credibility with all his cheap talk...

I really wonder if Bholzer will ever come on board or not, it seem alot of the stuff he said was all talk anyway, (eg, updating to latest bitcoin core)

I know, I was disappointed with that one. I really believed in that guy. It's crazy how sometimes you think you know somebody and then it turns out you know shit.
It really blows my mind how he sounded convincing when he said he was hard at work on the latest bitcoin core and that it would be ready shortly  Cheesy
Can't really trust no one these days it seems.

Couldnt agree more, he gave alot of people here false hope, but in saying that, as a result he has drawn the community together with his post, and got discussion going, and now look where we are.
Silkcoin is moving forward with or without him, and thats all that matters now Smiley

He may be a very good dev indeed, but seriously, i dont see murraycoin going anywhere soon. Correct me if im wrong. lol

bee nice eezzz  lol

His words gave us hope, which can always be thanked for, but I'm fairly certain that bholzer, as well as a lot of devs I've communicated with.. stopped replying once they actually viewed the code we started with here...  as far as coding goes, bishop and palm must be given extreme props for what they've went through.. to the point we've gotten to, they have both spent an incredible amount of their spare time (if not all of it), completely rewriting nearly everything that makes this client function..  What we were left with, was completely out of the league or want of the majority of devs to repair..
And if not out of their league, it would be apparent that the countless hours were far too much to contribute to what we were previously called as a 'doomed to fail' 'ragtag'
'unorganized' 'hopeless' group of grass roots individuals who were only trying to recoup their losses anyways.. for everyone involved (which I believe now is this entire thread) we know that this is not the case.  What has been achieved so far in this takeover has never happened in crypto.  And what will happen in the future has never happened in the world.

I have not deleted a single post by any user.  There is nothing, that can be thrown at us that cannot be explained, worked on, and achieved.

We are Silkcoin.  We are the future.  We are Revolution.

The camel marches on.   Cool

Quite True Arteleis, his posts did give us all hope, and the charts reflected that after he posted here, im just glad i can see the bigger picture now.

I have to highly commend Palm and Bishop for their work, its one thing to supply them a screenshot of what the wallet was to look like, and they had a huge task on their hands, its not as simple as just placing some images into Qt, they have had to make alot of changes to the code to make it work.

I noticed there is no link to silkcoin.io in the OP. Maybe need to be added?

Yeh, it was kind of a test site.  Ha we got beta everything.  Actually a new site being built that is going to blow that one out of the water.  Based on the majority feedback of the site, we have to step it up a notch. Or 5.

Remember right now that we are all the beta crew. We are still whispering, and none of the marketing has been officially launched.

The comm truly is building this coin, there are hundreds of suggestions for every aspect of what is being built and all the devs are taking each one into serious consideration and basing changes on priorities to get solid releases.

We are still whispering camels folks.  Im happy and proud to be a part of what is happening here.

Should I add it to the Ann? Or wait for the community refined site?

Add it.  Any progress is good to show people we're alive.  It will also make the new more amazing site look that much better Smiley

Everything everyone says is noted and added and then worked on.

There are of course discussions and other plans being worked on in areas such as email and gchat, cell phones, whatever it takes to move forward.

Once an item is released for beta we add it to wunderlist, and work on all the review items of the comm.

Not just the devs that are doing good work, we are all doing fucking good work.

Like I said, proud to be a part of this community!   Grin

p.s. yes.. my girlfriend added a shopping list to my private wunderlist. haha  Think was baguettes and some eggs and stuff.. ya know for transparency purposes.  But I won't be asking for a community review on that list.  Wink

Glad you downloaded the screenshot aiding the description of my "minimize on close" bug Wink

Haha sorry haven't added the minimize on close bug to the wunderlist yet, but has been forwarded to the devs and will be added soon.  It may not be a priority for this release, but will be added for next one for sure.  If we can fix it for this one, your wish is our command.  (-:

I say wait until everything is ready and refined for public presentation, then launch a new official ANN and let the games begin!

Exactly.  Will likely be creating high quality graphix design for ann once everyones hands stop bleeding working on all the crucial updates and suggestions, bug fixes and everything pertinent to the community.  The world truly hasn't seen what we are all capable of yet.   Cool

As soon as a decision is made about the coin's name, website, social media profiles etc etc, I think we should start spreading the word about the coin's relaunch.

To the best of my knowledge those decisions have already been made.  The public voting settled on keeping the name "Silkcoin" and the consensus was to change the ticker to SILK.  We have Facebook, Twitter and Reddit locked up (/r/SILK and /r/SilkcoinOfficial).  The website Silkcoin.io is up and running (and looking awesome).  We are currently awaiting the release of the 1.1 wallet to officially announce the revival of Silkcoin.

Have you seen/tried the latest beta wallet?  The final release will basically be similar but with bug fixes.

Ooops, really sorry. Turns out I missed some news. Thanks for letting me know. Smiley

No problem.  If you scroll back about 8 pages, I posted the same question and got a similar reply from someone else.  Silkcoin is changing rapidly and it's sometimes hard to keep up but I see that as a generally good thing Smiley
