Yep, I see no problem starting a fresh thread, we should do it at the POS change over.

It's already started. Smiley

The conversion to PoS is described there and the links are also there to the new interim wallets that incorporate the block reduction mechanism. Now that we have control of the ANN thread, it will be a simple matter to update the OP as things progress.

Feel free to spread the word.  Grin

A new fresh landing page would be great on here.

With the change to POS a new thread and landing page would be most appropriate.  This thread is now mostly old news.

Howdy doody folks. Smiley

I wanted to let you know that we have been trying to get the moderators at bitcointalk to assign ownership of this thread to The SolarCoin Foundation (an account Eric has set up here) but have not gotten a response. I've been asked to maintain the OP of the thread but since I can't access ddirt's account and the mods aren't replying to us, it looks like we MAY have to create a second ANN thread in order to update everything properly to reflect the new way of things to come.

I just wanted you all to be aware of that. I know it's annoying to have things split up across two threads but it seems that is what must happen...  Embarrassed

Cheerio!

RIP Phil 2015
I have tested the new wallet with 3 different operating systems. Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2012 R2.

Startup is really fast.

It synced succesfully. I received and sent some coins without any problem.  Smiley

Good work :-)

Hi SolarCoin community,

Some of us have been testing the new wallets already, but we would like more volunteers to help with testing before we officially announce that the new wallets are ready.

Here are the new wallet downloads:

Windows: http://www.mediafire.com/download/66z5wrzdne4x3b4/solarcoin-1.5-win-qt.zip
Mac: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/60507461/SolarCoin-Qt.zip
Linux: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5q9h7stgqmra72g/solarcoin-1.5-linux-qt.tar.gz?dl=0

Please PM me or post results of your testing in the thread.

Thanks,
Eric

Thanks for the links.    SLR 1.5 installed and indexed up correctly.

Faster startup
Small syntax / spelling mistake :  When sending a small transaction (0.01 SLR) it tells you that the 'Transaction is below Maximum - adding 0.001 transaction fee?   - Maximum should read Minimum.
Accepts config and server mode correctly.  Has a minimum password length (unknown) on configuring server function of unknown length but greater than 8 and less than 20.  Unable to get server functions atm due to lack of time.  Are they implemented ?

I renamed my wallet.dat and started this new app for testing purposes. It's re-indexing the block files at the moment. I'll report more about the app later.

Good news SolarCoin community!

All 3 (Mac, Windows, Linux) clients for the 310,000 hardfork are now completed, tested and handed over to the SolarCoin team.  Expect updates and downloads coming soon!

Update: The SolarCoin team has tested the Windows wallet and it's working great. There's a minor kink to be ironed out on the Mac wallet, and hopefully that will be fixed soon and we can release all the wallets this weekend.

Is KGW will be available when the pools updates the code or do we have to wait until block 310K for this too ?
