I've always been a big fan of the documentary "Sugar: The Bitter Truth" and this is usually the first video I recommend to my patients who ask for more information about healthier eating options ... and Gary Taubes too, I like his work a lot, even though I think he is a little short-sited on his take on dietary fiber.

tokyopotato, thanks for your post. A big thank you to you and the rest of the Cannacoin team for helping SolarCoin to implement our block reward reduction and transition to PoS. I've been talking with Josh and am impressed with his technical ability, attention to detail, understanding of the big picture of the crypto world, and desire to help. We're very glad to be collaborating together for the improvement of both of our currencies! 

As you said, there is a lot of overlap in the interests of the solar energy community and the cannabis community. We both tend to have "green" values, and solar technology can free people, communities, and environmentally friendly businesses from the centralized corporate/government power grid and empower them with an independent, distributed energy solution which respects the planet's ecosystem.

I very much look forward to working with the Cannacoin team as we move forward to switch both SLR and CCN to proof-of-stake. This relationship is a win-win for both of our currencies, which are among only a handful of coins that have a specific target audience and industry-focused business plan -- coins that are likely to last and grow in the long term. Working together, I believe we can make sure that SolarCoin will be the premier cryptocurrency of the renewable energy movement and that Cannacoin will become the leading currency of the legal marijuana industry.

For those who are not aware, the Cannacoin team (CCN) is assisting in the development of Solarcoin.  We are moving your coin over to PoS 2.0 over the next two months beginning with the reduced PoW rewards.  Our developer and QA specialists will be extensively testing these changes and working with the Solarcoin team very closely.

I have taken a personal stake in the success of Solarcoin and it is a pleasure to co-develop on cryptocurrency technologies.  Both of our coins envision a better world where people can develop their own energy sources to supply food and medicines for themselves and their communities.

We are ecstatic about LED technology in the indoor growing industry and the reduction in energy usage for our industry combined with the growth of Solar technology is a win-win for everyone.

One day, people will be able to use greenhouses with solar panels and grow food and medicine throughout the fall, winter, and spring.

Very much up to you. All I can say is I put my Air Force Pension into SLR at the end of each month.  It isn't a huge amount, but this month is probably the last chance to get a decent price.  One thing though, just wait a couple of days until my buy wall is depleted

If you think it is a good idea then now is the time to get extra coins. They will be hard to come by in a few months. When it hits $1 a coin do you want $200,000 or more:). Just my 2 cents.

Only advice I can give you is use your best judgement.

If there's one thing I can say about Solarcoin. The management is top notch. Nowhere in crypto land is there caliber of management this coin has by it's very inception. I'm not saying these people are legendary warriors from a land light years away, but I am saying there's no way in the world I'd be able to afford 10 seconds on their time normally and here I am investing in their vision.

And boy do they have vision.

I hope not to be the wasting game.
