I said they are highly correlated if a smoothing filter is applied. Gold does a dead-cat pump, then BTC does, repeat. And the overall trend of the two is down since start of 2014 (gold's decent started 2011 but BTC hadn't yet matured and was in the early adopter phase).

Incorrect. They are highly correlated (if a smoothing filter is employed) since 2013. Gold had a rise recently and so did Bitcoin.

Bb are visually different so the tilt does work

i worried about branding the icon as just an "S" [without the light bulb]
but just skimming the top 300, i only see Start using the "S" icon
maybe rotate the "S" to the left 13degrees (thus making the icon strikingly different from Startcoins)(same tilt as the lightbulb version)
or put just it in a square for the favicon (still would have the 3d coin version as it is above)

This is really good.
There's some minor kerning work still to do on the smartcoin text, at any rate I'll post a few other elements and see whether this design gains any traction and positive feedback.

but 'cool' isn't the same as 'good, clear, immediately identifiable logo'. Think of the Nike swoosh or something--no Photoshop masturbation there.
I share this view. In many cases, less proves to be more. Most non-crap-coins have a simple and flat logo/shape without fancy effects. Dash is a nice example, the old Darkcoin logo was what EleanorZ refered to as "cool looking" whereas the new one looks way more professional even though it's simple.5k

Sure nice to have. On the to do list. I would put more mining pools and more exchanges and more nodes above them. I have a long project list a few pages back will republish an up date soon.
