I really like the looks of this coin; with the right image and sleek style I can easily see thousands of people picking up on this quite quickly.
(However, it seems I threw threw the wrong miner on the pool last night before bed and quickly switched to a less powerful unit to combat the difficulty change)
I do apologize for this, and will help balance out the difficulty so it is easier for others to mine (normally).

With that being said I would like to offer a mini-faucet from here on; I would like Dev's approval though first.

But I'm completely on board with this coin and look forward to contributing if desired  Grin

Hi,

Sorry for the delay, manic day. Faucets are an interesting concept, especially in this social media space where such 'free' giveaways may foster the environment the coin needs in order to succeed. Can you elaborate a little on what you think the faucet could achieve for the coin, please?

*** More bounty opportunities ***

Don't forget what SocialCoin is designed to achieve. So in order to win 1k SOCC post a URL here which shows you mentioning #SOCC and your wallet address on sites such as Amazon, TripAdvisor, Trivago etc. Or other forums which you use? Been somewhere recently and written a review? Get it updated!
Hey can we post about SocialCoin in crypto themed forums ? such as cryptotalk..... ?

Yes, that would be acceptable, thanks. Include your wallet address too please with #socc

This is my conf. Am I doing correct?

rpcuser=
rpcpassword=x
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=18646
port=18645
listen=1
server=1
addnode=13.59.61.11

Is that it verbatim? Post your miner command line too. Why do you < and > chatacters? Presumably you don't actually have those in your files?

I tried to mine using my qt wallet. Looks like it will take forever. Hogging lots of CPU.

Somehow skipped over the coinsmarkets part of the thread; this market alone will devalue the coin and sway people from participating in it unfortunately..
Looking forward to future plans still  Cool

Why, specifically?

Extremely low volume = less money;
Take a bank for example, people want to store there money where they know it will be secure (now I am not saying their site/market isn't secure)
But volume alone is the usual definition of 'security' in todays crypto-world.
I know thousands of people who will not put their money on a market/coin alone simply because of this reason.

If you look at all their other trading platforms; nobody is buying anything on there; and this won't change for SOCC even if it is a great coin (which it is)

Another good reason; instant gratification.
Anyone can be listed on Coins Market, so for a new coin to instantly list on this site is a red flag in a lot of peoples eyes (even if there isn't a lot of circulating volume)
I suggest applying for a market; e.g. Nova - this induces a 'proof of work' concept for the coin/market; people need to vote for it, which adds value over time because of time being spent.

There are many ways to put it; but I promise you will get much more support by setting high standards from the beginning.
(And I only say all of these things with the best intentions)

-- side note; breakfast time for me.. Pool seems to be picking up Smiley

So the way I always solo mine:

1. Config file contains as the user, the wallet address. Pwd of x
2. Other details as per coin specs, IP, port etc.
3. Create shortcut to wallet.
4. Add -server to the end of the target.
5. Run wallet.
6. Run miner of choice, add wallet address as user in command line
i still don't understand this ! what do you mean by adding -server to the target ? is it in the consol,miner.. ?

I did this.

Are you on windows or Linux? On the former, in the target of the shortcut, you would add -server to the end of the string.

Out at the moment so can't take a screenprint. Check on Google.

On Linux I'm not sure but again there will be guides online.
