A week ago I asked a question about the fact that the wallet does not work in China and that transactions between the stealth address do not work. But there is no answer.

I wasn´t around for a while. But can somebody tell me about the current state of developement? What´s coming next for spectre and is the dev team working on something?

Hey Spectre can be really one of the top cryptos.
I just got some Xspec and sent them to my wallet. I wanna know how to secure it as it didn't ask me anything.

At the current price, it makes no sense to keep stacking.

I think that now the project needs help ... and everyone should understand that sometimes it is necessary to protect their assets.
I will support the project with everything I've received since the beginning of the year from stacking!

It really helps to bring the price of the underlying asset to the proper level.

I've been a bit out of the game for the last 2 months so I haven't been watching closely. Is stealth staking still planning for xspec or it's fork?

We have just posted a newsletter and we would encourage a more technical discussion about the proposed concept of "stealth staking" as it was set out by the previous dev team:

I love the regular updates via the newsletter, keeps the whole process very transparent. Good job!! I also appreciate what have been already achieved within the last couple of months. Looking forward to the final 1.4v and roadmap!! When the whole market goes up again (in my opinion July) we could probably afford paying full-time programmers a bit longer?! At the current price level it is of course hard to hit the "funding goal". But I'm still very confident and proud that there are so many people donating to the core team:))

To avoid this future xspec wallets should be HD-wallets by default.

I have several wallet.dat files. And when I replace this file with a wallet, I can not do transactions with stealth address on another stealth address. an inscription appears on the screen:
“error: the transaction was rejected. This might happen if some of the coins in your wallet were already spent, such as if you used a copy of wallet.dat and coins were spent in the copy”
so I can do transactions either from a normal address to a normal address, or from a normal address to my stealth address inside the wallet. On another stealth sddress, I can not send coins.

I think I understand what you mean. I will look into this and get back to you.

In general, I understand that now two developers (who do not have a resume and who do not have experience with similar projects) make an update, in which they change the code base, which will make the next updates easier in the future. Term of completion is unknown. This may end in three months, or maybe in 6 months. Nobody knows this. Also these are hired developers and get money for hourly work and when there is no money, and there are already few of them, these developers will not work until you pay them.  Also, you do not know who and when will make the mobile version of the wallet and also do not know how much you are willing to pay for the mobile version of the wallet. I also read the news and understood that stealth staking is a fantasy and it will not be in this project. And in wallets there will always be two addresses (normal and stealth) and because of this all balances and transactions are visible in the blockchain. There is also a problem with transactions between the stealth address, if you copied and changed the file wallet.dat several times, then you can not do transactions between the stealth address. Do you know about this problem? If you know, when will this be fixed? Since I can not make a transaction from my stealth address to another stealth address.

I think a lot of your questions will be answered when we complete the governance section and explain about the development cycles we have planned. Of course the devs have resumes, you just don't look for them. When you learn a bit more about software development we can discuss various ways of managing and hiring devs and how to structure the work. Until then, just sit back and let us deal with it. Your statement "There is also a problem with transactions between the stealth address, if you copied and changed the file wallet.dat several times, then you can not do transactions between the stealth address." doesn't make any sense at all. Please explain in detail.

If you want to have a discussion then please read up on some of the stuff you talk about.

thanks for the documents, I did not see this earlier in the discord.
I'm not a programmer, I'm an investor, and I do not understand commits on github. I just want to see the promised weekly detailed reports. If you like to call my questions Fud, then you can call it so.
But I'm worried that the audit has been going on for two months now and there are no results. can people do the audit for six months, for example?
And I'm also interested in a new developer. He has a good salary, and if there is no release date for the release of wallet 1.4, then he can work on this especially slowly for many months, to have a long job, like Jasper did (Jbg)
It also interests when the mobile version of the wallet will be launched, who will develop it and what is the estimated release time for the mobile version and also what price will it be? write, maybe at this forum the programmers will read about this and offer their development services.

It doesn't make much sense to have a deadline for the wallet as you don't know what issues you will encounter. Our dev is accountable every step of the way and we can see what he is doing and we speak daily. When the previous dev, @jbg, was working we had no oversight and nobody knew what he was doing and he never submitted any real work. There is a massive difference. The initial work is a bit slow before we can move on to deal with new features. The audit has not started yet as I said. I would suggest that you educate yourself a bit if you are to invest in crypto.

I did not see there answers to my questions

What exactly do you want to know?

can I find out the end date of the audit?
Is there any experience with the new developer Shbli? what projects did he do before? And what was the deadline for the final version of the new wallet he promised? And what is the price of such work for him?    Three months ago Mandica promised full transparency and that we will know all the details. Every week, detailed reports on the work done should be published. But there is no such information. I do not see the answers to my questions, although earlier they promised full transparency.

1. No, there is no end date for the audit yet. We are still negotiating with the auditor and we still have a task to complete, https://github.com/spectrecoin/spectre/issues/15 - we need to go through the code, more or less line by line and it may take some time. The purpose of this is to prove that the Zerocoin implementation has been completed properly. There will certainly be updates around this when we have something new.

2. We have worked with Shbli for a few weeks now and he is reliable and hardworking and has excellent C++ skills. He is a top ranked software engineer at Toptal and has coded cryptocurrencies previously. He has no previous experience from any other live crypto-project I am aware of. His main responsibilities have been to replace Qt WebKit and to develop new build processes. These are C++ skills and compiling and is not directly linked to the core functionality of the Spectrecoin wallet.

3. Shbli was hired to work 40 hrs/ week for $3616,- per week, so around $90,- per hour. All out expenses are open for all to see: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RQwcIJOfdiywrJ_I5vA4L7dnCbnClJ2Bi9-D_4IIA7I/edit?usp=sharing

4. There was no deadline for the final version of the wallet. We are still at 1.4 beta and have some more JS work do to etc. so Shbli is still on our payroll to complete the wallet.

5. The best way to stay up to date is through the newsletters, https://news.spectreproject.io/ - or the progress links on the Discord server. Also, with regards to "But there is no such information" - have a look at GitHub: https://github.com/spectrecoin/spectre/commits?author=shbli and the commits made. So, to suggest that we are not open and that you can't track progress is nonsense.

Have you ever been to GitHub? This is such a poor attempt at FUD but we are professional so you got your answers.
