Thanks for your swift response Duke. You have now proven you come here often to check in. It's great to have you. There are still some cheap coins if you want to pick them up. No one will blame you for doing so.  Wink

Wat?! Please don't tell me the wat lady died  Sad

I just stumbled upon this coin and it certainly seems interesting but can someone please confirm that it is totally open source code? I ask because I saw some comment a couple of pages back about it being closed source but I'm pretty sure that was just FUD.

Also, what's with that other coin, vidz something? Are these 2 coins competing or are there just some similarities?

Thanks!

yeah you know the "security" features like 2fa are closed source and who knows what else "to prevent theft" but even if there isn't anything malicious in there, it's a bit delusional to think people would want to run a closed source program to manage their money or assets.

Wat?! Please don't tell me the wat lady died  Sad

Yup she didn't survive 2016.

Devs have the torrent as closed source for now...

Basically they don't want thieves stealing code, but i heard it will be open source once they establish themselves.

Purevidz is a completely different... like apples to oranges comparison and by oranges i mean dildos. They aren't even close to the same yet trolls from Purevidz keep coming here.

the problem with open sourcing the 2fa isn't to prevent theft, it's that with it being open source it makes the 2fa pointless because the whole point of it is that there is a "secret" that "secret" is only suppose to be known by your secondary device, usually your phone. In this case though, the "secret" is derived from the password you use to decrypt the wallet meaning with the source being open, you can see how to compute that secret.

therefore if you know the wallet password, and how to compute the secret, you can compute the secret, produce yourself a new QR code and scan it and viola you have access to their 2fa now too!! so secure!!

Looks like the price and volume has never been higher before.

Price, yes. Volume, no.

Last ramp up saw $20k/24hr.

Try the more interactive Riot chat, which is being added to the vTorrent client

We wonder. Is there any news from the dev? Did the hard forks go through successfully?

~ The Hive ~

I'm not going to answer unless you talk in the first person.
You seem a little... agitated.  Grin

It could of been worse, he could of misspelled something.

Hard forks is the curse of our time. U dont need to other urself about someones private life, instead u should think about the future and be moderate in posting, eating and investing since this is the only quality that differentiates humans from animals. If u follow my advice, I can guarantee that an expression of satisfaction will cross ur face along with a pleasant sensation of happiness within ur body, urging u to work for the benefit of society and produce goods of broad consumption.

May she rest in peace.

From what I can tell, the combination of everything makes vTorrent especially well placed for a big boom:

* BitTorrent client (with paid bandwidth option)
* Crypto client
* Stealth addresses
* Tor and I2P options to hide location
* Riot chat for Slack like interaction with others in a safe untraceable way
* HD wallet for backing up
* Possible introduction of a classifieds market (people paying the network to place ads?)
* CheckLockTimeVerify for smart escrow (both parties lose coins if there is a problem)
* 2FA to protect funds from viruses and Trojans
* Trading API
* Client has it's own explorer
* Mobile options

Just look at that combination of features  Cool

We should be in top 10 on coinmarketcap!

That's about $2/VTR which when compared to SDC, which still hasn't released its market, is about right.

When the main feature gets released and gains users, then it should move closer to $8/VTR.

It's entirely plausible that we see a large uptick in price before anything is released. Shadow ticked up to 2 dollars per just based on the release of their "Umbra" wallet.

It's obviously just another purevidz person.  As I mentioned before they cant understand vtorrent has a much different scope to purevidz-which is why they're mentioning a HD video player

They don't seem to get that this is changing the torrent protocol, this isn't some web site, this is way bigger.

Come on dev, hurry up, the conversation around here is getting a bit thin, lol   Grin

In other news, wallet 0 just bought upto 4000 sats again.

Another 75K off the market, only 425K left for sale.

Lets get a convo thicker. Sources whom I deeply admire and trust transmitted a unique piece of knowledge to my mail box, which I will kindly publicize in this thread as there seems to not be another place for publishing information of a comparable level of importance. My find is that VT client will be released as a headless wallet daemon in its infant stage, lacking highly advertised embedded video player with HD support.

lacking highly advertised embedded video player with HD support? WTF?

First i'm hearing of this, you fudding? Care to share this so called source?
