Looks like msc is running out money. Itz a problem of companies.

Movements like bitcoin or counterparty can't go bankrupt.

Well said.

It's funny because initially MSC was claiming their advantage over XCP by having so much BTC they could fund faster development, and now they are just out of money... ( didn't they "scammed" Maidsafe with they MSC / MAID swap?)

msc is the sadest and most disappointing project I have seen here this year - anyway it is history.

kudos for the inventor for his basic idea.
I lost some btc in msc and really pity for that.
I should all in xcp. who knows!
that's life.

He wasn't the only one thinking about implementing an additional protocol layer embedded in the Bitcoin Blockchain. The idea really kicked off when lots of independent individuals and groups started openly discussing and working on it. The idea ceased to be solely his (from the wider communities' perspective) at that point (if it hadn't already). I hate to imagine the current state of "Bitcoin 2.0" if the Counterparty devs hadn't assembled.

Looking at the current market cap, XCP is still extremely cheap. It could reach BitShares market cap easily in few months. That is almost triple the current price point.

Maybe I just overthink things but offering 125xcp overall to get the wallet translated to Russian (knowing Russia banned bitcoin) hints that perhaps the devs have made some kind of lucrative contact with russia? Are they trying to hop on board low key with btc technology and specifically going after asset creation power given by Counterparty? I mean, i don't care if the Russian mobs contacted you or not but just curious lol.

Wouldn't automatically assume counterparty dev team is on payroll of russian mafia for this transifex bounty  Cheesy
125 XCP is a fair amount but still human translation per string is generally not super cheap. It was not being completed quickly
Sure you may get done for less, but paying extra to fast track translation of a large market sector like russia or china isn't crazy, especially in the light of recent news there

Looks like the Counterparty workforce is expanding by 50%.

It's impressive to see that Counterparty has done everyting right from the beginning. For a long term perspective, it's the most comforting investment one could make in the crypto space.
yeah, responsible dev team and so many fans.
good job.

I know it's not the place to debate this, but I am definitely more than happy to be invested in Counterparty, and slightly less on Darkcoin too (the dev just released a video of instant transactions - well, 20 to 30 seconds, but still awesome).

Awesome projects, although XCP is a more elaborate one, while drk might appeal the underground economy.

I have a question on using Counterparty. Say if I set an order to buy an asset, do I need to stay logged in and wait for someone to log in and match the price or can I log out and then come back and find my order executed if someone matched my price?

As BTC trading has been removed from Counterwallet, and all pairs are all Counterparty assets, you don't need to stay logged in.

Does "all pairs are all Counterparty assets" mean everything has to be traded with XCP? Or is that XBTC then?

Either, that doesn't matter because both of those are Counterparty assets (so you could do SWARM/XCP, SWARM/XBTC, SWARM/LTBCOIN, etc).... XCP will probably be the dominant quote currency, however (the 2nd currency in the pair, in which the price of the first is put in terms of).

Does anyone happen to have any XCP relevant Money20/20 slides?

I'd be interested in those too, as well as other meta-coin related material. Smiley
