Hi EK,I saw that the latest update of elastic-core's github is one month ago. Is it finished?

Veto!
My latest commit was a few hours ago! The code is distributed across multiple repositories (reference, multiple places in this thread and the public wiki).

@coralreefer, I will be finished with the grammar by tomorrow (meaning, I will have caught up with the current state of your miner).
i will then try everything and summarize the "status quo". I cannot write more at this moment, I need to keep working  Wink

See you tomorrow!

some ideas from this sound similarto shifts plans to decentralice the web. but agree the topic is interesting and could grow much in future.

Web has been decentralized on paper 100 times since bitcoin birth. Has it changed anything in ur real life surroundings? No. i2p had existed before crypto as a gateway to decentralized internet and nobody bothered to clone the tech 100 times in a row and attempt to sell it as a fundraiser. Fuck it.

Blockstack, a $ 4-million blockbuster, dollar-invested, digital-currency grouping company, Blockstack, is dedicated to creating an Internet-centric server-free Internet using Bitcoin Blocks, now secured by Union Square Investments (USV) to invest $ 4 million funding, will continue to work on the development of the new version of the Bitcoin block chain of the Internet

Using block-chaining to create an Internet-centric server-free  is an exciting topic.

Agree, i think we should call it something else. Worker? Calculator? ...

I think it is a miner since there is work to be done and a reward to be earned . The model is similar to proof of work . But i also think that we are talking about small details here .

Yes, with "miner" there will always come up the question: What, why miner i thought its POS?

It could be slightly confusing in terms of if XEL has inflation or not.
call it "solver"  Roll Eyes

solver is cool, but EPU (Elastic Processing Unit) isn't bad too
there's also nice word "decoder" :-)

perhaps, we could vote on this after mainnet is live...?

Reality is stranger than fiction
Yes - we need a simple word with a clear meaning.

DCRC - Decentralized computational resources client ?  Tongue

sounds nice. But I think its to "heavy" for the normal use. Nothing you can easily say in a fluent conversation
