You can chose different port to mine at :
3333 for low end hardware
6666 for normal hardware
7777 for killer machine (be careful, if the pool get over 45% of the network, miners from this port may be redirected to smaller pool for network safety)

3333 low end hardware : a CPU or GPU
6666 normal hardware : gamer GPU
7777 killer machine : GPU rig (multiple GPU)
8888 : multiple GPU rig
9999 : Chinese farmer
It doesn't change much for the miner (same gain) but if you have multiple GPU rig and use low port 3333, it increases the server charge which is bad so avoid it (we'll see it anyway).
If the server overcharge, we can temporary force everyone on a high port.
