maybe a proxy will help with the connections? i cant open ports, the router is closed to user access by my ISP

What ISP can get away with that?

Google the brand and model of router, check it has UPNP. What consumer is going to accept all their videogames not working? It likely does have UPNP. Enable UPNP in your client.

The windows binaries are compiled with UPNP support disabled Sad

anyone working on GPU mining? perhaps it will be faster if we work together.
PM me only if you actually know what you're doing and how to code.

Well, I think that the person who makes a GPU miner for this coin wil first mine a day or 2 and then release it Tongue
Thats what I think I would have done...

I had figured out the NFactor part few hours ago, however the real issue is porting the Scrypt variant to OpenCL which i have no experience with.

Put a donation address so ppl can motivate you Smiley

I think the only way to fight against those botnets are GPUs Smiley

tried win7 version on an i7- 990x 6 core.

then it set off firewall alarms everywhere - this may have rabies.  not sure this is a safe windows compile, so may pass on this coin.

all my linux distros are on itty bitty cpus.

what port?

Are you kidding? Who would give out such sensitive information at such a crucial moment in history?!?!?!

The magic number 7688^H^H^H^H is a closely guarded secret of the source code and maybe the "apropos port" command!

If the original post didn't say, let that be a hint how secret it is?

Are you a Master Mason? Maybe if you are a Master Mason you get get that info "on the level" from your lodge?

EDIT: Darn, the ^H backspace is broken!

Oh, I also see these 8 connections, but no possibility to open more ports from here - I'm not admin of network, only have some servers. But anyway, I made couple thousands YACs with ~170 Xeon's cores (20 different cpus) what is not bad for 8 connections, as I see here.

I have two servers with same 4-core, two threads per core CPUs.

On one, I got coins.

On the other, none.

The difference?

The one getting coins had incoming port open, thus other people's machines had been able to connect to it; it had 75 connections.

The other machine only had 8 connections, the default limit coded into pretty much all the varieties of coins.

I opened its incoming port. I has now, a few minutes later, found a block. It has 25 connections.

(Both are on the same class C subnet, so clients looking for a node to connect to only connect to one of these two machines, as they prefer their connections to be more widely dispersed.)

Oh gosh, if I post this, people might read it. Some might even act on it! That might cut into my share of the coins!

Darn. Okay, lets start a countdown, in only 24 hours I will post this messageadhrfhajfdjdsfgkjmkghm, arg, finger slipped, it posted!

TL;DR please ignore the above, it was posted by mistake!
