PoS can not be decentralized and can not be secure. You will never know if an opponent has taken control of all or part of the nodes, all nodes can be compromised or hacked.
There will be no greater security than just the PoW, there will actually be less.

I believe its easier to hack 2 or 3 pools in order to control a network over PoW (and often 1 pool has more than 50% of it, so a single target to hit) than hacking all the nodes of a network.  Pools also run more code than a node so attack surface is greater.

Network can not be controlled "over PoW" by hacking pools, because hashing power is in hands of miners not pools itself. I don't know how a PoS network can be secure and how a PoS based coin can guarantee privacy, because PoS is inherently centralized.
Maybe privacy is not intended for zano?

In where when and how is the boolberry coin swap taking place? Any estimate on that. (I just want to fill my pockets first)

Right now best option for mining is to mine boolberry and use for coin swap.
FYI, You can now rent/sell hashrate for boolberry at http://miningrigrentals.com

If setting up a rig at mmr... how do I deal with the scratchpad for different pools that the renter will rent? thx

Zano? lol I thought it was a fork of Nano or the use of block lattice.

Hmm,seems it's forked from Boolberry.
So Boolberry was fully discarded?

You better do a better work at it, please compare the files between zano and bbr, every single files are different.  Also BBR will be kept updated by them, please read more over it...

If I'm seeing correctly, no docs for user and mining yet (please, do correct me if I'm wrong).

Any approx timeframe when we might see those?
Or a nudge in right direction where to find such info?

Thnx

So total supply is 184B and premine is only 5M?
B or M?
Team says they're gonna be having the same supply as BBR and BBR total supply is just 18.4M. Think you meant M not B. 184B is way too much IMHO - 1:1 swap with that amount just wouldn't add up

You cant have same max supply if you exchange 1:1. Then there is no coins left for mining and securing the network.
Guess that's the tail emission the dev spoke about.
Also, not the entire BBR supply is in circulation.  Add lost wallets and we could have about 8M from the total supply left. Tail emission could up boost the numbers up

I took my numbers from the config file on GitHub, but based on the space lobster's response it seems like those are just place holders.

Bitcoin is not a currency or asset. Its a MOVEMENT
when details like initial supply, total supply, emission rate will be released?

So total supply is 184B and premine is only 5M?

We gonna put special document dedicated emission and coinswap to make it maximum clear and transparent.
At this moment we still deciding where would be the best to put a decimal point and some other details.

How did you implement PoS if you never know how much a user holds?

You actually don't need to know how much anyone holds, what you actually need to know is that some particular output has a right to generate block (based on conditions that described in details in the white paper), and then you prove that you has ownership over this output by spending it in specific PoS coinbase transaction.

Sorry for late response, we've been on NY vacations, going back to the office on Monday!

Have a good weekend!
