It's not ZenCash, the whole altcoin market is burning since at least a week. It might not be finished yet too.

Outside interest will come if there's publicity around a development milestone, like a mobile wallet, or secure nodes. The problem I have with secure nodes is, 3.5% of the block reward and requiring a stake of only 42 coins isn't going to generate the interest say Dash masternodes did. Dash masternodes get 45% of the mining reward, but they need to stake 1000 dash, not peanuts with the coin around $175. I think if masternodes get set up right they can generate interest - but to me, the reward and stake requirements are too little. What I think that means is if it stays as it is people with too much time on their hands and a year's worth of free-tier AWS vps will host and stake, and get a very minimal return. 42 coins isn't enough to create scarcity in supply either, so not an upward driver on price. Maybe these details will change though.

A mobile wallet integration of ZenCash would be a newsworthy milestone that should have an upward price impact.

Agree, there are a lot of work that needs to be done before ZEN is going to be properly valued.

Until the secure nodes and hardware wallets become available, we need to find some way to promote this coin.  If we don't get more outside money in then the price will drop forever because people are just mining.  So coins are pouring into an empty system.
Then again, maybe it's our chance to stockpile while we can because the secure nodes are going to draw a lot of interest on their own I think.

Reusing Zclassic's blockchain seems like a scam for me. Undecided
Please explain to us why do you think this. ZEN and ZCL are different coins now, and even some rivalry beginning to show up. Team behind ZEN is serious and modest, and i cannot find any leads toward your claims, which can only influence our investmants to loose in value. Please join the Slack so we can investigete this together.

Yes maybe we can ask him to be more active here.

Hello, I was holding Zclassic before the fork on a desktop mac wallet. I did not safe the wallet.dat file, but I have my private keys. How can I restore my wallet, so that I get my amount of ZenCash?

Thanks for your help.

If one had 84 coins and wanted to setup 2 nodes, I'm thinking you could:
  • Set up software on a cloud server as per the secure node setup guide
  • Clone the first instance that was created
  • Send 42 Zen to each node

Is that about right?

at 7.2 a month would that cover the cost of electricity, hardware maintenance, the cost of the PC to setup as a master node? Seems like mining has more incentives then building a master node

A VPS can do this.

What a real intelligent response considering you are a staff member I would think better of you if you can make a clear assessment  of the accusation.

I would've preferred Zen to have a clean launch on a brand new chain, but I don't see how you could think it's a scam.

Zclassic was fairly launched. Zen was fairly distributed to the Zclassic holders up to the chain split.

3.5% of alocated funds will be for nodes
if there are more than 1000 nodes running online , they will get a little pay
This is true when you using this price range for your calculations. But when Rush for cheap node starts, price will increase very significantly. Also demand will be great because team will deliver some new solutions not seen in previous "copy paste projects" , i advise evrybody to buy at least 42 coins just in case.

Can anyone tell me what are the requirements to win zencash with a node? How many coins do you have to deposit and what configuration do you have to make?
How many coins are earned per day through the operation of a zencash node?
Prerequisites for node is one node per machine, because they will be very demanding towards computing power which is needed for providing full protections of privacy. This is good because won't happen that one person can hold for example 1000nodes..Like we had chance to see in some other projects..
3.5% of alocated funds will be for nodes. It is very hard to tell how much this is per day, because sometime your nodes won't get work (won't be involved), also how many of them are online etc..

Demanding in computing power in what way? Is the goal to be able to run off a VPS or will the secure nodes eventually need to be on a dedicated server? Very interested in setting one up once I mine enough, hopefully it stays at 42 to start as I am new to ZenCash.

Needs minimum quad core for the encryption calculations... other minimum requirements are listed in the Linux ZEN node guide posted.

They calculated 1000 nodes would mint ~7.5 ZEN per month for each node. It is not much and 1000+ nodes do start to thin it out... but early nodes can earn some coin.
