I haven't been keeping tabs on this project, I wonder why the Twitter page is not as active as it was? Somethig's up? Hopefully not, I think this should seriously worry big investors, pls answer

It's exactly what you're saying. When there is no news from the team, when social networks do not give news for a long time, I think this is a signal. At least you need to think about why this is happening.

Anyone that thinks that switching to equihash and following a lemming pattern of K,N changes (that is nothing more than an increase in RAM requirements for nextgen ASICS) vs using existing SHA256 ASICs is a "good idea" either doesn't know squat about the topic, is motivated by the amount of GPUs they already own, or blindly believes too much of the misinformation on social media.  Roll Eyes

With the increase in memory, the area of transistors inevitably grows.
And the more memory, the less difference between the asics and the video cards.
In addition, the competition in the memory market is growing...
Given that the controlboard holds the RAM (and yes, I'm over simplifying how on-chip works for the purposes of this immediate convo) it's not that big of an issue. The reality is that if enough coins switch to the exact same K,N then it becomes cost effective to produce (and by extension to purchase). X RAM vs X RAM, ASICs will always be more efficient.

I've invested 6.75 btc... I think it would make x10 minimum. When deposits would be unlocked, will invest more  Wink

At one time, the zetacoin cost was more than 8000 satoshi.
It seems to me that the coin is undervalued. For example, dogecoin.
Unlimited coin issue. But dogecoin cost more than 40 satoshi.
It seems to me zetacoin should cost more than 100 satoshi.

Need to change slgo... equihash 144 Wink

There were precedents for changing the algorithm.
Large farm of asics can actually capture a network of more than 50%.
But equihash 144 is not stable from asics.
A solution can be a combination of algorithms: equihash 144,5 + (sin con functions of gpu) + x16r.
But there is a risk of a decrease in the hash.

- Difficulty retargets every 4 blocks based on last 90 blocks (Quick difficulty readjustment)
- Block reward: 1000 ZET, halving every 80640 blocks (about 1 month), not dropping below 1 ZET (inflationary)
- Total coin supply: 160 million ZET + small yearly inflation

- 160 million coins will be mined in around first year. Thereafter around 1 million per year (inflationary). This small inflation is a better incentive to keep the network hashing than purely transaction fees.

Do you think this model is better than the model of bitcoin?

https://github.com/zetacoin/zetaweb

Here is the source code of the web page. I'm not a web developer. I'm writing in C ++.
But who is versed, can offer a variety of design options. And we can help in this way.
Most likely the developers specialize at a low level. But web development is not a priority, as well as mine.

why do developers do nothing

Why, most recently, there was an important update.
The last change was five days ago.
https://github.com/zetacoin/zetacoin

I already downloaded it. I'm studying to help development.  Smiley

I suspect that the problem is not with the developers.
Perhaps someone specially created such a situation.
Mining equipment switched to other coin. Since complexity does not grow rapidly.
People in a panic switch to another coin.  Cool
Bet on the rapid increase in value in the future in connection with the good news. I'm just guessing.

But they need help in creating a good website design. That's for sure. And it's not so difficult.

If you need help, then you can take me to the team to help the project.
I think that simply improving the design of the official site will well affect the course.

Because of the low hash rate, 51% attacks can be accomplished. I would recommend exchanges increase their confirmation times to larger number of blocks to mitigate this.

The best way to help prevent this going forward is to get more hash rate on the Zetacoin network.

If you'd like to help Zetacoin survive and thrive, invest in infrastructure, mining, development, social media, etc.

Thank you for contacting Cryptopia Support.

Our ZET  wallet is currently in maintenance while we investigate. We cannot give you a certain ETA on when this maintenance will be complete, but you can check its status on the CoinInfo page which this direct link will take you to:

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/

When a wallet is in maintenance, you’ll be unable to create an address, no new deposits will come in, and you won’t be able to trade or withdraw this coin. Please rest assured though, all transactions will proceed as normal once this status is lifted, including any backlogged transactions.
