$CAD 179.99 is the cheapest gold 1200w power supply I can find in Canada.

I always liked the Rosewill Lightning 1300. The EVGA 1300 equiv is good too.

Swapping the power supplies had no effect. I guess I'll see what Bitmain has to say (they got back to me pretty quickly and asked for screenshots, etc), which I've just sent them.

You can configure user and selecting freqency throught web.

What he means to say is try changing the frequency, doing a power cycle and see what that does.

Yep done that...and everything else that anyone has already suggested...including the guys at bitmain. They've been responding to my emails on a daily basis as they give me new things to try, so I will say that they are certainly trying to help me. In the end they gave me an address in the US (I'm in the UK) to send the control board to. Which means I'm already down a week and it looks like this miner will be down for at least another, although it's more likely to be several, weeks.

As you might have guessed, I'm not a happy bunny. However, I'm not going to flame Bitmain or be an ass. This is the second issue I've had with Bitmain in the last month, after almost a year of buying equipment, using hashnest and mining on antpool with nary a problem. So the end result is that my other C1's are being sold off and I'm going to let my wallet do the talking with future purchases.

They have a UK address you can use which will lower the cost drastically.

It looks solid and I believe Alphacool is one of the good ones.

You see, I'm good with both computers and cars but cooling systems, I always avoided... gives me headaches.

I like XSPC with pump/resevoir combined for ease. They run about 70 USD and have a much higher rate than the 450 syscooling pump. Larger resevoir so more liquid needed, but in terms of being able to properly work it runs great. My pump was defective and after realizing how long a RMA was going to take with sys I just decided to replace it myself. Sys wanted several videos of my physically moving the parts of the pump even after I'd cleaned it out and sent two (or three?) prior videos. Mine run a bit warmer than 35 C, but the miner runs smooth and i've had no problems. The fittings and tubing and radiator work just fine. I'm not sure if having a higher pump runs liquid through the radiator too fast and thus the higher temps. I point a fan on the radiator and that seems to help. I'm at the max of my power capabilities and the last order from bitmain is probably too much, but I'd already made the purchase.

I had to cut the wire on the harness because I needed 4 pins molex instead of pci-e. There is just a flimsy copper wire the size of an hair inside of it. But it's working. My kit was in perfect condition. I'm loving this near silent miner.

Your pump leaked. Did you leave the fill cap open until the water heated up? Also do not overfill the pump because air will compress more easily than water.

I lowered my frequency to make the miner stable

to test if its a power supply, try elimination method where, only run blade 1 (fan facing you, its the 4th blade), so blade 1 only powered up..... observe....then blade 2 and so on...... I'm guessing it could be the PSU not supplying enough power?... I maybe wrong but thats the method I will do to test it.

Hi you are right, I replaced the PSU with a Coolermaster 1000W vantage80+ Gold $245 AUD and works like a charm.

my friend advised me to power blade 1, so I get the change to trouble shot the Miner....blade 1 is if the fan is facing you its the 4th one to the right hand side. and thats how I managed to tweak mine

2nd miner up and running as well...... just playing with the frequency to make sure I achieve 50C to 70C temp...

but the moment I give it a static IP address it just shuts down or just coincidence? this happened to miner1 and miner2...

Any hints or tips please? thanks guys!!!

That's not a great PSU, it only just has the wattage AND its 5 rail. Turn DHCP on if you're having issues giving it a static IP in your home range.

Physics yeah, for the "quality" of the tubes.

No, that's just how all materials behave when heated. All watercooling tubing is exactly the same material - acrylic. It is ALWAYS going to 'soften' when heated. I'll give you $50 if you can send me acrylic watercooling tubing that doesn't get softer when heated.

I will be using rigid plastic tubing for my next one because wide radius curves suck.

Yep, it's possible. Due to lack of power I connect in parallel 2 PSU's. One is XFX 750W and another one is Antec 750W. You can buy on EBay appropriate connector.
Another solution is to do connection by yourself like I did (because still waiting for this fu...ing connector to arrive from Korea).
You should connect green wire from 24pin connector to both PSU's and one of black wire in same manner. I put switch between those 2 wires to start or shut-down PSU's. Than you can use PCIe rails on your C1 from both PSU's. It's work great since day 1 for me.

Both would be same power, same manufacturer and same series.

Plus by now, I found a good deal on a 1000w 80Plus Platinum PSU under $200 before tax so I might buy trips whilst I can.
