If I were to reduce the frequency to the lowest value, along with the lowest voltage, would the power consumption continue to drop? I currently get around 730w, just wondering if possible to go lower.

I will try too but i need only one feature:
If fan stops for some reason hardware/software and temperature goes over 100 degrees..
i want cgminer process killed.
I do not want any reboots or cgminer restarts just full stop.
This is the only reason which stops me from using this version.

v1.12 :: 10/12 :: RECOMMENDED UPDATE

Download:
https://mega.nz/#!ylJX0LCQ!8JWryI0jDhgMvPdH2mrOvybkXCtrpYtQpxu0akdxU1s

Upgrade instructions:
  • Recommended, at your current firmware, set the miner frequency at 400mhz and set your fan speed manual at 25% before flashing.
  • Download the custom firmware. (don't unpack it)
  • Flash by going to "System" -> "Upgrade" -> "Flash new firmware image" and select the custom firmware.
  • After flashing, check the advanced settings page and start at the lowest voltage setting and 400mhz. From there increase your frequency to see how high you can go at the lowest voltage setting.
  • Start tweaking some more. See the profile suggestions below.

Changes 10/12:
- Improved awesome miner / other mining managers compatibility (setting the priority was not working)
- fix kernel log window height (saves you double scrolling...)
- added permanent antbleed fix (prevent remote control of your miner by bitmain Roll Eyes) -> for details see http://www.antbleed.com/

thank in advance to blissz to help D3 community for this firmware..
will trying 1 D3 first.. to find the right setting for my D3.. and willl setting all my D3 if good to to with this firmware

@Blissz: If your pools go down (unlikely, but possible), and the 2 hour timer triggers the devminer switch for the 1m50s and finds that both of the dev pools are dead... what happens? Does cgminer restart? If so, then after 5 minutes, it attempts to connect to dev pools again, finds them dead, and cgminer restarts... ad nausium until the dev pools come back? This is a pretty important thing to me as I rent out my machines and want high reliability for my renters and don't want to screw you out of your much deserved devfee.

Just block it in your firewall and never mine the dev pool duh

Or download awesome miner. Have a trigger for everytime it changes to dev pool to then change pool back to main pool. Done

Not the problem, or an answer.

Was the beta v2.02 not meant to run for any length of time?  I ran it for ~10 hours and for some reason my Chain 3 is much worse now in terms of HW failures.  I set it on the lowest voltage and before I ran the beta (but ran many different Blissz firmware updates before that) it was fine around 450.  Now it can't get above 419 without multiple HW failures per minute.  Anyone else experience this?

I'd like to add that I've been very happy with what Blissz has been able to do thus far, so thank you!

Yep, that's my problem too.

I have a new highly sensitive chain that WAS my best chain, now is my worst.

I am afraid the aggressive freq/voltage search during autotune screwed my machine/chain up.

No answers? I cannot mine at speeds higher than 19 now, I was at 20.9 before.

It looks like they auto tuned themselves right out of being tuned...

PLEEEAAAH!!!

Pfaaaa!

M,

Can I get an answer to one question.

Should I ignore HW errors when temps are ok?

Info: Newly rebooted New version of 10/12. Set everything as described.

This goes on at a pace of 118 every 20 minutes or so.

Chain#   ASIC#   Frequency   MH/S(RT)   HW   Temp(PCB)   Temp(Chip)   ASIC status
1                   60               494    6026.14    0            54                     71
oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooo
2                   60               438    5400.08    118         47                     61
oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooooooo oooo
3                   60               494    6154.90    0             57                     72

When I installed Beta, did a test at lowest, did a test at 9V sent you the stuff.

I tried 12 or 13V with autotune and immediately saw a temp of 256 on the Chain 2. Chip temp was fine....(I mean like 79).

I reverted back to old 12 /10 that I had. Now chain 2 overreacts to temps. I just disregard as long as no asic fail and no shown temperatures to worry about. But watching it Hurts.

Is there a way change temp offset for chain two only to like -13? It's at -3 now, just like the other two.

Thanks for your answers in advance, sorry to bother you.

M

Hello guys. I like this firmware and I am very satisfied with it but I have something that I couldn't understand. What is "Discarded" field in the dashboard?

One of my boards have many HW no matter what clock and voltage settings are chosen (on official firmware too).

Come on Blissz,

What happened here?

It just takes some time for the miner to restart, does it stay like that?

Still love what you did... However since the flash when I enter and save any x11 pool - I get :

Socket connect failed: Connection refused & No CGMiner is listed

PLEASE ADVISE!

Doesn anybody know how to extract original antminer d3 firmware files ? how to open them  ? on windows machine . Grin Grin
Here you can find the souce https://github.com/bitmaintech/cgminer-dash

The  SD file on Windows pc can be extracted using 7-zip.

You can also read this tread from page 1 , to find more details.

What up guys..  Blissz.. I see you are mining Dash direct.  Is that most profitable?   I'm not making much at all and have 6 D3's..   Can someone give me settings to mine Dash direct and see how that works or any other advice on best practices or what to mine thats most profitable?   This is a small enough group it certainly wouldn't affect profit for you.   Thanks!!

It's normal to happen quite often: They're not shares, they're discarded work because there is a newer work package available. It doesn't affect your hashrate that much. If you got a really slow response time (> 500ms) from the server it can matter a bit more.

>> added permanent antbleed fix

auth.minerlink.com - ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED without any 'hosts' changes.
seems like antbleed backdoor so many time ago already closed by bitmain.

ps: if you try delete scrypt.c from sources of D3, cgminer can't be compiled.. hm..

after you set autotune, are you guys rebooting or just letting it be after clicking Save&Apply?

I am trying autotune on 14Volts now for a good daytime setting.

It never really mines though...

All shares rejected but 2.

I found 11 Blocks for you though?

Man this version not cool yet.

My Miner never actually mines!

What to do!???

Patient one.

M

Sorry this beta version is definitely not yet ready for that as it starts at a way too low frequency which will mess things up. I am working on a next beta version that should improve the things I've seen. Can you PM your kernel log? Thanks

Geeze, Ya think ya coulda said somewhere that this was for low voltage users ONLY?

What does "SCREW THINGS UP" mean?

I think some temp offset value is stuck in my chain 2. 52 degrees it says overheat, never had asic fail, until this software, took way too aggressive a freq search for the voltage I put in.

And why bother with the LOW LOW freq's that never get used really anyways!

Maybe....Just maybe, you set a range of freq.'s for each voltage, so as to not screw things up?

Thanks, Looking forward to 2.03, or 3.0 fixing this issue.

Because THE ISSUE REMAINS ( A New Ultra sensitive chain), WHEN I REVERT BACK TO ORIG> FW?Huh
