i have some question.. i'm still newbie..
1. how much hw error per hour count normal. example under 100/hour?
2. if pool 1 down/dead.. then it will switch to next pool2.. but if pool1 back online/alive.. it's will change pool1 immediately or it will mining pool2 until restart or and count timer also before it switch to priority pool1 ?

1. There is no normal hw error, as long you dont get xxx in your asic than its good. If you have 100/hour is 24hours your asic will have xxx
2. Normallnya its will back to pool1

Hi Guys!

I have done a YouTube vid on the firmware and also done some profit vs power costs!

Please have a look and leave a like or comment if you have any feedback.

Thanks Blissz for this incredible firmware!

hello there,
I am mining from zpool stratum+tcp://x11.mine.zpool.ca:3533 adress.
After than a few hours of working it says "dead". an switching to my second pool which is antpool.
I was never faced this kind of "dead" status when i was working with stock firmware. any comment?

Thanks
TG

It's not because of the firmware. Just the connection with the pool. It can work for a week without any "dead" status, and one day you get "dead" pool for several minutes or hours.

Exactly you are right. but I haven't faced with it before and it gets some doubt at my head.
Just want to ask, anybody else who is mining with zapool has the same problem or not?

Is it possible to switch algorithms by modifying the firmware? Or is that just wishful thinking?

I would like a feature that allows us to tune each fan individually. This would allow us to tune for silence as if you can hit a particular fan speed for each fan I think you could reduce noise due to resonances created by each fan. Vibration Resonances as well resonances in air presure hiting the next fans blades on the output side.

I am really enjoying the latest BETA - working for me great.

@blissz

are you working on a firmware update for the l3+

greetings!

donno how he could, since he doesn't have one to test... L3+ is a scrypt miner. this thread is about the D3, an X11 miner.

I am running on very low electricity costs inside a DC where temps are from aircon. Any reason why I shouldn't let the fans run @ 100%? I mean nice for the D3's if the chips is sitting at 69-71 degrees Celsius. Lastly... any reason why I shouldn't push them a little harder if I can keep the temps below 79? Thanks!
They are just cheap fans.  There is no reason not to have them at 100% if you can stand the noise.  They don't take up that much electricity anyway, even in high cost areas.

Hello there,
When I check /var/log/messages file, it shows the record as below but my 3'rd pool is stratum-dash.antpool.com:25 actually. any idea?
Switching to pool 3 stratum+tcp://dash.suprnova.cc:9991

Your pools are 0, 1, 2.

stratum+tcp://dash.suprnova.cc:9991 - is dev pool

One of my D3's will only load the main page (with nothing on it) and won't let me go to any other pages to reboot or flash, etc. I tried the reset with a paperclip, but no go. Any ideas? Thank you

I had the same problem but I tried multiple reset attempts and it worked eventually. In short, turn D3 on - let it completely boot (2-3 minutes) - press reset for 10 seconds - fault light starts blinking - reboot

If the fault light doesn't start blinking, try again.

best of luck

@Blissz: If your pools go down (unlikely, but possible), and the 2 hour timer triggers the devminer switch for the 1m50s and finds that both of the dev pools are dead... what happens? Does cgminer restart? If so, then after 5 minutes, it attempts to connect to dev pools again, finds them dead, and cgminer restarts... ad nausium until the dev pools come back? This is a pretty important thing to me as I rent out my machines and want high reliability for my renters and don't want to screw you out of your much deserved devfee.

Just block it in your firewall and never mine the dev pool duh

Or download awesome miner. Have a trigger for everytime it changes to dev pool to then change pool back to main pool. Done

Not the problem, or an answer.

Perfect answer

How does it answer the question about what happens? If my rigs weren't rented out for the next three days i'd be more than happy to try, but as of right now, i can't afford to have the down time as it reflects quite poorly on my RPI.
