But we don't know what will be the BTC value after 2 or 3 years, so... Part of us will say that it's better to buy some BTCs right now, another part will say that you better start mining ASAP...  Roll Eyes So you see how multifaceted this subject... A matter of perpetual debate...  Undecided

Easy solution: Buy some BTC and some S3, best of both worlds, problem solved!  Grin

Hello. I would like to ask, If I buy antminer, Should I mine after 2 or 3 years or it will be unacceptable?
More than likely the difficulty of the network at that point will be so high it's unprofitable, so best case would be to buy one, mine for a few months, then either sell it and upgrade or sell it and stop mining.
Don't forget about the block halving.

Hello. I would like to ask, If I buy antminer, Should I mine after 2 or 3 years or it will be unacceptable?

There are many things to consider.  Difficulty is the one that will make the hardware no longer profitable at some point.

I used this chart when I first started looking around.  One of the miners here made it and it is very informative.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmeuPljmUNHCdEpqX2RmMDFwemJyLURVUWFtZ3J3aGc&usp=sharing#gid=15

You need to understand your power consumption and cost.  Cost of hardware to purchase and then factor in how the difficulty will play out.  As the difficulty increases which is does ~12 days then the miners mine less btc.

Hope this helps.

How fast is their shipping?
China to Canada must take weeks?

they can get it to canada in 3 days if they want to.  right now they are choosing to not ship until sept 20th
That's not terrible. I'm not sure if I'm going to buy the Sept 20th batch or not yet.

Mine shipped early Monday CST and I cleared them through DHL in person at YWG on Thursday lunch the same week.  The cost of shipping stuff express i'm sure is half the cost.

WANTED: Active dev to fix & re-write p2pool in C
I get so tired of having to wade through reams of cr*p spam posts in order to find the smallest piece of information about a manufacturers product on their own thread - it's so f*cking irritating!

@ fahlcor: Take note of what people are telling you, obey the forum rules, especially when they are put right in front of your face. This is the Bitmain thread.

I use them on p2pool using --queue 0 --failover-only with excellent results  Wink

p2pool is great as a backup.  I would still use Nicehash as a primary for the premium they are paying atm.

p2p will pay you what the calcs say you should get. no more.  Nicehash can pay you %20 more which it is atm.  It serves me no benefit to evne post that here because if all of you start to hash there the orders go through quicker and less for me.  Worst case set nicehash as your first with a BTC payout limit and it will only give you premium work loads for much better btc.

this is a no brainer.

pick your favorite pool after that for pool 2 and 3

Fahlcor

Just stop advertising your pool. Your entire history is filled with you finding excuses to mention its name.

+1 It's everywhere...... Roll Eyes

Yes this is my pool of choice at the moment and I'm using my S3's to mine it.  I'm happy to share the info with my fellow miners.  Not sure if you noticed but I didn't even post a refer code or anything.  Just an honest tip to help out my fellow S3 miners.  I thought the title was discussion forum and support.

I'm not associated with any pool.

Sorry to those I have offended.  You're welcome to those I have helped.

I won't post about it any more.

Good Day.

Fahlcor

I was actually thinking about this and anyone who has a hate for Nicehash needs to understand that they are not a pool.  They are a paid service that has to be pointed at a pool.  So this is not posting a pool.  Just simply being PAID outright for your hash power.  Whatever you hash using their service goes to the buyer who could be using ANY pool they wish.

Thanks

If I was you I would set Nicehash as the first pool...
...
Otherwise use bitminter or other as solid standby.
My unobtrusive recommendation is to read this post. Briefly - an appropriate pool should be determined anew in every particular case, because an error rate (rejected+stale) can nullify benefits of each pool's reward system due to lower total hashrate of your miner(s) at that pool...

Seems that bitcoin mining is not a place for lazy noobs... I mean it usually doesn't work well if someone try to "plug-and-play". Those who decided to be a miner should use their heads constantly. Think, analyze, compare, choose the best (pool, equipment etc.). No offense, guys!  Roll Eyes

where can I view/download the latest firmware for them?
Definetely the best place is Bitmain's site, take a look at Support section.

Good advice.  Geographical location in relation to a pool can make a huge difference.  If the pool is not showing your hash rate something similar to your miners then you should definitely check into why.
