A humble Siberian miner

I am getting this psu on fri will see if it runs 4 s-3's

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MMLUIE8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

 i know it is far more  $ then the 1300 watt model but it will be fun to test.
You can try this PSU, it's cheaper:
http://www.amazon.com/LEPA-1600-Watts-Crossfire-Certified-G1600-MA/dp/B007W5TV6K/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1408497196&sr=1-1&keywords=LEPA+1600
But yes, it has 6 12V lines instead of 1...

Okay. I don't want to start rumors, so somebody else, PLEASE investigate...

I ordered from Bitmain directly for the first time within minutes of the S3+ going up for sale. I can now view my order, but the edit button has gone away.

From lurking in the forums, I have read that the Edit button going away always meant that things were about to ship.

The S3+ isn't slated to ship until on or around Sept 20th.

Has anybody else's Edit button gone away for their S3+ order, and could that really mean that things are going to be happening soon??

Interested in the opinion of those who have done this before...

Thx.

Mine has been missing for several days now, don't hold your breath.

when will we see an S4 ? Tongue

Now that's a really good question, because with such difficulty jumps of more than 20% every 12 days the S3+ is utterly obsolete when they finally start shipping! Shocked

@BITMAIN, you may want to call for a company emergency meeting to discuss canning the S3+ in favor of going straight for the S4 based on 20nm (or better) chip technology. Oh wait, you already have A LOT of S3+ running in your mining farm and have to sell those off first? Good luck with trying to get them going with such well informed customers as you can find here in this thread!  Angry

Just quit mining please....  Wink

Even after the diff increase the stated price on an S3 hasn't changed, making it 20.86% less likely to ROI.

Enough with the whining.  Don't like the way Bitmain does business?  Buy from someone else.
Can't figure out how to make money with increasing difficulty?  Quit.
But for the love of God stop posting here.

Done.

Luckily there are a few on par or better opportunities that just came out.

'The right to privacy matters'
For the older firmwares, can I add in a asic-freq line to the putty command to get the 243 freq?

Would like to add that if possible without doing any firmware updates. I know many of my machines do well at 237.5, but not at 250, may try the next one up if its possible.

Thanks in advance!

i did it with ssh

all of the below

256.25 -works  hw errors
250.0 --works  hw errors
243.75--works much less hw errors
237.50--I use this with 2 miners
231.25--I use ths with 2 miners
225.0 -- works
218.75--works
212.5 --I use this with 2 miners
206.25-- works
200.0 -- works

        option  'freq_value'    '1306' #243.75M
        option  'chip_freq'     '243.75'
        option  'timeout'       '16'
What speeds can one expect with this, check my last reply to see where I sit with everything right now.

256.25 = 512gh

250 = 500gh

243.75 = 487gh

237.5 = 475gh

231.25 = 462gh

225 = 450gh

218.75 = 440gh

or close enough.

Thx for that, I'm using the new FW, I was hoping by adding 243.75 to the list it would show up on the menu but it doesn't.

Know what I'm missing here ?

I kinda like being able to manage over/down-clocking with the new FW menu.

asic-freq is no longer a factor with the new FW menu.

Here's some info on what to do about changing that menu - https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.8370071
Thx for he link, I only added 243.75 though.

If you knew how they actually worked and pulled your head out of your ass and dropped the conspiracy theories at every corner you might have a more realistic view of things..
