This may have been asked somewhere else, but how can I order 3 S3's and use my three remaining coupons on the one order? Or can I only use one coupon per order of 2 miners?

I must agree with xstr8guy... you've been given good to great advice from quite a few people. I said previously to stop over thinking this issue. Now you're beating a dead horse and becoming a pest about it. Plus you didn't answer my question if you're blonde.

Buy a psu from the recommendations, live with the decision as any of the recommendations will serve the purpose you seek. Move on. Issue should be closed now.

What 7.5-8.0 TH/s looks like.
Dissipating ~24,000 BTU.
Most PSU's = EVGA 1300's, powers 3 S3's each with current to spare.

Awesome work planet, when I saw the red cables I thought that looks familiar as I am using the same EVGA 1300 to power 3 S3's each (they fit perfectly 3 per shelf in my 42U cabinet vented to the attic Smiley ), I only have 7 units and just checked the power at the wall all 7 use almost exactly 2400watts combined.

Thanks, we'll be adding more in the near future. But not until the power company runs in another 400A@240V.

@ stock freq, feed by the EVGA 1300's I measure exactly 325W each.
Each "rack" (purchased @ Menards ~$50) has 12 S3's.
So power consumption of a single rack ends up being 3900W.
The equation to convert watts to BTU is: watts * 3.15 = BTU
So each rack is dissipating 12,285 BTU.

2x racks = 24,570 BTU

So your 7 are dissipating 7,560 BTU or about what 2 Walmart space heaters would do.
If you live in a place that has cold winters (like us in Minnesota) vent that heat in to your house and get paid to heat the house.

Regarding the power discussion, as you can see in the picture only 4 of the S3's are using 4 Pcie connectors (Cuz' they were there I used'em).
All but one of the S3's are clocked @ 237.5 and running just fine.

I live North of you in central Canada. It will be cold enough here in a few months.  I just wanted the other new people to understand that these things really are micro heaters. So far my basement is holding fine as AC always did keep the basement a little to cold anyways.  4200 watts of heat makes a huge difference.

If you want cheap and quick the CX500 will support 1 ant and 2 cables works fine for most OC'ing.  These are common and cheap and may not be worth anything later. (yes i mean when these ants stop making bitcoins in 6-9 months)

If you want something longer term I use HX850 and it works nicely for 2 ants /PSU.  It will likely be easy to sell in the future and retain some resale if I wish to do so.

Also be aware that all of these unit use~350 watts of power each at the wall +/- some for the PSU loss.  This ALL turns into HEAT.  so be aware that you will need to deal with ~700 watts of HEAT from 2 Ants.  1400 watts for 4 and so on...  Also if you are plugging this stuff into a power bar please make sure everything you use is rated for the amount of power you as using.  NO LAMP CORDS!!!

if you think you can deal with the heat take a small 1000w heat and stick it where you are planning to put the ants and leave it on for a few days.  This heat sinks into everything around and can be tricky to resolve.  plan ahead.  OC'ing will make them hotter also.

OK another observation.

I OC'ed 4 of my 12 ants and found that the HW errors were ~1% according to ant monitor.  So I droppped them back to the default freq and they are now still hashing faster than the others by a full 10ghash eash.  this has been over ~8 hours and it is obvious which are going faster.

OK another observation.

I remember from here you said you live numbers from an old job but that's a bit too technical for me lol.

I suppose all I need are the written instructions he provides in the video.

That being said, I noticed in what you link you talk about undervolting, thats basically for conserving power right ? But dont you need to downclock when you undervolt ? Which I believe is something people look at when these start to be useless.

I mean can't you just downclock the freq to save power, why undervolt too ?

Let's try this one more time but with images... here's what my four S3's look like after a lil over 24hrs. Looks like I go lucky and got ones that run fine at stock all around or just over 440gh/s. That being said, two of them have high HW numbers, best I can tell from he math done, the two with high figures are under 0.008 and the lower two under 0.002. So these would all be considered ok and nothing to worry about then, right ?

Well, each miner is on it's own 1k watt PSU where there being hosted with all four power ports on the miners being used. That said, I do want to incrementally OC them with each step being left alone for 24hrs to see what extras I can squeeze out of these while being stable.

That said, can these be OC'd from the webui or do I need to use PuTTy to get in to the miners ?

I would suggest to skip 225 initially, and go to 237.5. In my experience, if they cannot do 237.5, then they cannot be at 225 either, so you save time.
What do I use for port in putty ?

I got the hostname / ip like this for all my miners where they're being hosted.

So for putty i guess it would be [email protected]:5678 but what do I us for port ? I might have to ask my collo guy to open the port so I can use it.

Also, what are the increments you an use besides 225 & 237.5 ?

I am using Terminal, don't know putty, but the gist is, i believe, that you ssh into root@, not port.
Check the video and also click on "more" tab in comments.

Ssh uses port 22.  You log in as the root user.
