That totally sucks, my miner should be delivered today but now "Held in Warehouse" and "Additional documentation is required on the merchandise description". Anyone had the same issue?

Yup just jumped through those hoops.

My shipment was held in UPS's Louisville warehouse over the weekend because "A valid tax ID or deferment number is missing and is required for clearance."
This morning slightly after 8AM they finally called and I fed them my "Tax ID" and supposedly it will be released today and move on towards Minnesota.

Anyway, they are going to want your "TaxID", which translated, is your Social Security Account Number (SSAN/SSN).
If you give them an EIN (basically a business's SSN) you'll likely be charged duty.

me too, a woman called me from ups at six am asking for a tax id number, she said my s3's are in kentucky and they won't be here 'til tomorrow, she said the insured value being over $2,000 is why the issue came up.

I still haven't received my 7.7% BTC refund.  Has anyone else received theirs yet?  Come on Bitmaintech, you expect payment for orders within an hour but when it comes to a small refund we have to wait weeks.  BTC is supposed to be instant.

I have not received mine either.

If this address is correct, you don't have to do anything and don't reply this email.
If this address is incorrect, please forward this email to [email protected] and tell us the right bitcoin address.
We will not ask you for username and password, please ignore those questions when you get a phishing email.
Recently we find some attackers are impersonate Bitmaintech.com to phish. Please don't open those .jar files attached in those email.

gotta let a coin be a coin
OK, so one of my new S3 machines is hashing at 402.75Gh/s. Frequency is 218.75. One of the strings (if that is the word) is showing oooooxo-. Rebooting through the web interface, or physically power cycling doesn't fix it. Reading through this thread the suggestions are

1) Downclock to 212
2) Update firmware
3) Dismantle and replace thermal compound

Which of these is most likely to fix the hashing? Is there anything else I should try?

You also could do nothing and just let it hash at 402GHs. The extra 30GHs isn't probably worth the downtime and effort. 30GHs is worth $0.46 per day at the current difficulty/price.

freq 212.5 takes 2 minutes with a ssh in.   It has done wonders for my 2 machines

see charts I have stayed at 430gh

note that drop off was a power outage last night due to a T-Storm.  These 2 units are in an office building. I have no direct access during non business hours.  what I love about s-1's and s-3's

is they reboot and fire back up working after black outs  no attention or effort on my part.  Note after the blackout I am back to 430gh

I'm going to try the 212.5 freq as you suggest. I see over 8 hours or so they slip to 430. If that's where they want to be then I don't want to waste the extra power trying to keep them at a speed they can't handle.

is there any way i can access my S3´s when im not at home, and my computer is offline?. i mean just if i type my router IP with the port for S3 maybe i can connect that way?

You can, but that is generally a pretty bad idea unless you like other people hacking into your S3's and entering their own mining information.

You could have leave a computer on that is connected to your network, and use something like TeamViewer to connect to that computer while you are away.

Another option is to setup a VPN connection through your router.

yeah ok if i had my computer on i have teamviewer on mobile so i can access, ok i will think what to do Smiley

also, can you please tell me S3 size with fans included? Im not right now at home and i want to buy a shelf  Smiley

because official sizes: Size:  331 mm x 137 mm x 160 mm

are with fans also?

It's also not a great idea to open up router ports because it makes it more likely that someone will hack into your network.

Power Supply question for individual s3 unit and for 2 s3 units.

Could anyone comment if an -         EVGA 500W 80PLUS Certified ATX12V/EPS12V Power Supply 100-W1-0500-KR    ( 500 watt ) or

                                      -          EVGA 500B 500W 80PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V/EPS12V 500W Power Supply 100-B1-0500-KR    ( 500 watt ) or

                                       -         EVGA 600B 80PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V/EPS12V Active PFC 600W Power Supply 100-B1-0600-KR  ( 600watt )

Would work well for 1 s3?  If not, why and what might be better?

Also would a                      -         EVGA SuperNOVA 1000G2 1000W ATX12V/EPS12V 80Plus Gold Power Supply 120-G2-1000-XR

Be good for 2 s3's per psu?

I think I would rather go with single PSU's for each s3 and go with evga brand if possible, but am open to any suggestions.

Thank you in advance, any input is appreciated!
