Got the refund this morning BEFORE the physical delivery of the B3's (American Customs and UPS are screwing me violently in the arse). Might (doubtful) show up tomorrow.

I DID NOT WANT BATCH 2. I was unwilling to accept Batch 2 for 1.5915 BTC. I have no intention of paying that much for Batch 2. I counter offered because 0.02 is inadequate for an overcharge of 0.1115BTC.

The dispute is between distributor and you, but I am not sure where 0.1115BTC difference came from?
Batch 1 was 0.75, Batch2 0.74BTC. Did you order more than 11 machines?
someone already posted that some batch 1 S3 came AFTER batch 2 due to UPS delays.

Ok 1.5915 - 1.48 = 0.1115.

Several peoples batch 3s where supposedly hooked up but mine hadn't shipped.

The three batches at once shipping did no one a favor.

I'm trying to figure out which board correspond to with chain, i have a chip i can't shake a X
i redid the paste and mightnot of put enough on one but i don't want to redo the chain that works great.

so if i look at the miner from the front, ( the side the cat5 cable plugs in ), chain would be the left or right board.?

power off - DC one of the boards - power up - find out which one is missing. solved!  Wink

(only because I don't know which one is which, myself, yet)
i tried that, but with no power on one board, the unit doesn't power up at all.

Oh gotcha. Shoot an email to Bitmain to have them map our their chip location for you, im sure there are documents they could send.

it will not solve anything because only one row of 000000 will be visible, so how would you id it as left or right?

He has a 000000 and a 00000x000  - if he DCs one and powers it up and sees 000000 then obviously the OTHER board is the bad one. Process of elimination.

But, as he explained above, it wont power up that way.

lol, that is funny, it's the exact chip location you displayed Shocked

I think we always hear the bad but never the good

I ordered from batch 5 (missed 4) used my 10% coupons but accidentally paid to my batch 1 payment address.
emailed Bitmain and they had the issue fixed within 6 hours (whew!)

Great customer service. I could have lost BTC on that order due to my own stupidity but Bitmain fixed it for me.

edit: THANK YOU BITMAIN

Youre right of course.

On the other hand, previosuly BITMAIN has accepted purchases on S2 with coupons that had expired. Was very friendly of them.

OK, if Bitmain is consistent in their logic of board presentation, then from S2 experience, the farthest to the left from ethernet cables and LCD was the top ASIC row in S2, which also had #1 in front of it. Following this logic, left board would be represented by the top row of ASICs in S3, and right by bottom row. left and right are determined while facing the intake fan/ethernet port.

FINALLY got my B1 order in today.

Both are hashing steady at 435GH/s @ asicfreq 218.75 and that's fine with me Smiley

Hash rate will fluctuate. some start high, end up low in 24hr, some start low and end up higher.
I hope that yours will follow the latter trend.

FINALLY got my B1 order in today.

Why was it marked as Bitcoin Miner?  That was stupid, someone's gonna get killed like that.

Server sounds better, hopefully orders on future batches will be defaulted to this...

Server, or Gaming Console...

It ended up costing $140 at the door for the pair in Ontario Canada, residential brokerage fee.

Kinda high just for brokerage and stupid taxes...  oh why did we lose the war of 1812, we wouldn't pay taxes on imports either...

Both are hashing steady at 435GH/s @ asicfreq 218.75 and that's fine with me Smiley

The machines just overall feel a lot sturdier than the previous versions.

The cowl is great but not really designed for regular removal (I like doing weekly maintenance)

The ECB kicks ass compares to the S1's, a lot more robust and port is solid, casted within the frame itself

What I am not fine with is the shipping delays and labeling the unit as a Bitcoin miner.

Other than that, I am very satisfied with my purchase and will buy more if the opportunity presents itself.

For now though, I'm fresh outta coin...

Bitmain, takes all my coin and seems to know exactly when it's time to open sales.... Last order, I finished with BTC0.009 remainder.

Getting "antsy" for my B4 order...  so ship now B4 Aug 2nd, plz!!!  Grin

I will overclock in a few days, I like letting new machines break in, this way not to stress it out too much too early.

Tradition, I've done that with every major component of anything I ever bought...  Cars, snowmobiles, dirtbikes, heavy machinery, you name it.

I also did not observe any thermal paste nor beeper issues.

Mine was as plug and play as it gets, thanks Bitmain on yet another great quality product!

I am using the Seasonic SSR650RM successfully as power supply.

They cool amazingly well; they're beside my OC'd S1's and run about 15 degrees less.

Very respectable upgrade for the S1  Cool

BITMAIN I need help.

Your Authorized Distributor 112bit has mishandled, mispriced, and misrepresented my order.

I ordered a batch 1. I agreed to overpay for it. That was my choice. 112bit left their ordering system on and accepting orders they could not possibly fill. That is their choice.

My Batch 1 order was a Batch 1 order for 25.5 hours then it changed into Batch 2. I hadn't been babysitting my account as I apparently have to. I was not made aware of this change. I am not pleased with this change. Finding out 14 days later left me with few options.

I have sent numerous emails and have received no replies since Wednesda last week. I DID NOT WANT BATCH 2. I was unwilling to accept Batch 2 for 1.5915 BTC. I have no intention of paying that much for Batch 2. Email 1 went to sales asking for a correction to Batch 1 NO REPLY. Email 2 went to Juan apparently thinking I was cheated because my units order jumped to the next queue, no adjustment was offered and no acceptance of a terms change was made got me a reply in 3 hours. Next Email to Juan No reply in 48 hours asking about full refund and what "fair compensation" was. Email 4 to Juan asking if he could review the email I already sent and let me know "Fair Compensation" a partial reply in 24 hours listing 0.02btc being required and tracking # for units already held in UPS location. I counter offered because 0.02 is inadequate for an overcharge of 0.1115BTC. That email (5) was Wednesday last week. No reply since. An email was sent (6) to ADMIN on Friday asking for the same 0.1115 or full refund No Reply. I have received 2 replies out of 6 attempts to get this taken care of. No replies in almost a week. I have sent a tweet (tried calling no one answers) and will send one more email. At this point I think I require a full refund. I'm not saying I deserve one. I am not saying I somehow have earned it. I am saying that given all that has gone wrong with this order I am doubtful a correct price of 1.48BTC will make me take it.

I have until maybe Tuesday Evening 5-6 PM MST to pick up his units and complete our transaction. A transaction I did not agree to, did not want, and would not have paid for. I have to know by then at the latest or UPS will scuttle them back to the origin. China. Juan didn't even ship them. The items are drop-shipped yet he charges shipping.

My final paid BFL order only took a little more work to get the glitched units sent out. I really hated how that order was handled. I don't order from them anymore. Hopefully something gets done about this.

Please help me

So what would you guys do in a odd situation , just received my B3 come in today haven't started it up it as waiting for the PSU to arrive from Amazon .. not to worried about any problems hashing right away. But my B2 STILL IN CHINA , seems like over screwed thinking trying to get it a week before and start hashing that B2 before the B3 came in. I figured since its already in UPS hands it wouldn't be much that can be done since already a week has gone by without being able to hash with it.

Going back so far Bitmain has been trying to work with UPS to get to cleared but still even when it arrives the lost just is too much as everyone knows here. Asked for some sort of compensation for the delay for the B2 but no response yet.

I know comparing to the overall service from other "scam" or overpriced manufacturers for miners, Bitmain has been far the best but this has been still a bit disappointing. And with the B5 at .64 only .01 less the the B4.

Just my sort of speaking out of what can happen with those custom crap.

If anyone can help with this or if Bitmain is reading this and can maybe help me out here for the delay maybe a sort of compensation as I emailed about or better discount on the next order Grin , would greatly appreciated it as it would be even more of a incentive to pick up a ton for my next order whether it be B5 or B6 by then. As I couldn't order any B4 since those (spams of F5 was going crazy and by the time I got to it it was like B5 lol).

Always been looking forward to doing more business with Bitmain, just hopefully the custom issue is fully resolved.

Side note I finally received the 7.7% refund for both B2 and B3 thanks Bitmain for that.

The hardware should last longer than the hashrate will make it worth using.  In other words, it should become unprofitable to use long before it breaks.

oh, okay then Cheesy

I'm pretty new to mining, I don't really know much

I'm thinking about purchasing 2 antminers s3

the price per kwh here is 0.175$ or 0.14$, the website of the provider isn't really clear, I should call them to ask about the correct price [all day]

I have no idea where to buy PSU and how much would it cost, please do some recommendations and estimations Cheesy

who knows what are the prices are in US of Wow  Wink, but in US of A
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&Description=cx500m&N=-1&isNodeId=1
cheapest, can run one , but not overclocked
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139051&cm_re=cx750m-_-17-139-051-_-Product
this one can run one normal speed or overclocked, perhaps even two underclocked (at 212.5mhz)
http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperNOVA-1300G2-ATX12V-120-G2-1300-XR/dp/B00COIZTZM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1406579439&sr=8-1&keywords=evga1300
this one can run two overclocked or 3 (for sure)-4 (pushing it) at normal speed-it has 8 connectors (not 6!) on six cables.

since Amazon ships only to USA, that's not an option Cheesy

I'm actually from USW [Croatia Cheesy]

the last one is the best option

costs 180$ on amazon, however on eBay it costs 250$ with shipping +50$ of import charges

that's really high Cheesy

even the cheapest one, damn

https://i.imgur.com/M2AJU3T.png

anything for Europeans at reasonable prices? Cheesy

check rakuten.com
or
http://www.rakuten.de/
http://www.rakuten.de/produkt/evga-supernova-1300-g2-1300watt-1160468376.html

should be close to Croatia, hence less for transport

nice, European Union, no import charges

does bitmain charge for shipping?
how big could the import charges be for it

sorry for taking your time, I'm just too new to this Cheesy

So! after running my miners in my loft for the past 3 days. They're both steady - one at 212.5 hashing at 430 and one at 250 hashing at 490. My main concern about them being in the loft was the temperatures. The loft gets to around 40c in the day time with both of them whirling away - both of my S3's sit at around 48-50c during this period and seem happy! no x on my chips, straight o's throughout!

I plan on running mine at my work office, and do not have direct access to the router for the building.  Will I still be able to access it with a direct ethernet hook up to the wall?  I have one coming this week from batch 3, and already a power supply I am just trying to look up everything I need to plug in and get it up and running.

Thanks in advance.  I have only run some U2's and a few R Box prior to purchasing this S3 along with 2 more from batch 4!
