probably, but it is one thing not to ROI to the tune of couple hundred and another to have the same with 25-30K.
I expect bitmain to go and price S7 super aggressively, if SPT will price theirs at or slighly above 25K.
I doubt it'll change the S7's price. Maybe if they were available to the public, but they're not. Even if they were, they are nowhere close to being in the same league. Spondoolies is Intel, Bitmain is Cyrix...
tech is good, but the direction is all wrong as far as bitcoin enthusiasts are concerned (bigger machines).
a manufacturer with 16nm tech at 0.1 J/GH and 10-12.5Th miner at a reasonable price will sell much more, of this I am certain.
Spondoolies isn't concerned about selling more. They're a self mining company now. They're likely going to sell just enough to large mines to recoup their development and manufacturing costs on the SP50 upfront to reduce their risk, and then close the doors to their customers to keep them from competing with Spondoolies/BTCS.
