I have 40 BitMain S7 coupons that I won't be using.
They are for $100 off the price of a S7, good till Oct 10.

Can these coupons be transferred to someone else who can use them.

If so, then they are for sale.  PM me if interested.

Yes they are able to be transferred.  Look at last few pages and you will see it being done.

Can I ask how many S5+'s did you buy to get 40?  Just more then others I've seen.

I bought 88 S5's recently.  No S5+.  I got 44 coupons and plan to use 4 myself.  My price is .2 BTC.

I bought eight S5+'s and they gave me nine S7 coupons (but I've also bought six S5's throughout the year -- not sure if that factored in to their calculations)

Hi,

Has anyone here already received their S7 from Bitmain?
I didn't expect they are already shipping it. I thought it'll be late September right? (correct me if I got it wrong)

http://i61.tinypic.com/15ovwx3.png

I received this notification from my email last September 8 and it'll arrive soon via DHL. Smiley

Nope as far as I know none have hit the wild.  Were getting close. Normally they send before date they listed though.

So it could be soon for all we know.

Uggh.. Its already traceable in DHL. Currently waiting for it. :O

Take a chill-pill bro, they have sent ur PSU's! I received my PSU's today! ^^
Take a look at the weight of the package, if its 2KG, its the PSU's!

I was really excited but then I ended up getting a PSU. LOL.. So they will ship the miner sooner or later? Anyway thanks!

I've been getting some offers.  The price I am looking for is .2 BTC which would allow you to
basically double your money.

I don't think you can use more than one per S7.  The way to transfer them is for me to donate them.

Someone asked how many S5+ did I buy to get these.  I did not buy any S5+.  I did buy 88 S5 for which they
gave me 44 coupons.  I plan to use 4 myself.

100 peta jump hmmmm who could it be??

i also watch bitaffnet pool for real time net hash rate.

well whoever it was.. just turned off 30 peta lmao

The reported hashrate is an estimate and is not always accurate.

This is because of how most tracking sites estimate the hashrate; a run of blocks will cause it to appear there has been a large increase in hashrate.

I think we will see big bumps soon; but I don't think the Network hash rate is currently 470-500 peta.

They are normally pretty accurate when BM says stats on TH.  I expect everyone will get very close to it unless bad chip or hashing board.

They do not do with SP did where they list a number even overclocking you cannot get most likely.     My latest miner a S5+ was close, so I expect same out of S7.

'The right to privacy matters'
Not sure about your and my idea of 'quietness' is, but even with fan changes and downclocking to sub 1TH, my S5's were still too loud and annoying to use in my office or anywhere near people. LOL.

Hopefully these new chips run cooler so they don't need a jet engine to fracking cool them off.
My SP20's at the same speeds were 1/2 as loud as my S5's..

I think I found a way to cut sound a lot. I will post in detail when my s-7 arrives

But seeing your elect up to $0.15 per kwh, how long S5 give you ROI from pure mining (not selling the miner) ?

I'm not sure my S5s are going to RoI - too many factors I didn't forcee ahead of time, I'm seriously regretting buying the 2 "used" ones from Bitmain in particular.

The 14.2 is only my "summer" rate, that ends in a few days and I drop to around 6.7 which gives me a prayer - especially if Bitcoin keeps climbing slowly.

I've given up on even thinking about S7s though, unless the price on them drops a LOT very soon or difficulty suddenly goes flat soon. I've still got over a month before I COULD have had the cash to even think about ordering ONE though, since they made them BIG miners instead of HOME miners. 8-(

Around what location are you at?  That is a heck of a drop fro 14.2 to 6.7.

One is almost impossible to roi other is doable most likely.

I hope someday and eventually will buy 1 piece antminer S7,
 Roll Eyes

Keep your chin up and you can make it happen.  I started with a cheap video card slowly (slowly) mining LTC back in the day, then eventually scratched everything together to buy a ... 1.5 Ghz BTC miner (maybe it was 5 or 10, I forget) and worked my way up from there.  Re-invest everything you have and exercise patience and you'll make it!

SP20s tolerate heat a bit better than S5s, in my experience with a limited data set, but mostly 'cause they are a TON more configurable.
They're quieter, but not a LOT quieter if you are pushing them anywhere near their full hashrate.
They ARE a lot quieter if you undervolt them some, can still get 1.3-1.4 GH with a fairly low noise level and close to S5 efficiency in a cool room.

My "summer" rate here (mid-June to mid-Sep) exceeds 15 cents/KWH during the day easily, due to ToD rate adjustment, the OVERALL is about 14.2 but that's only WITH ToD overall adjustment, without ToD it WOULD be a hair over 15 I believe - this is in Iowa with Alliant's ripoff "tons of extra fees" rate BS. Our rates where I live have gone UP at least 3 cents/KWH in the last 5 years due to Alliant adding way too many surcharges with almost NO reduction in the base rate to compensate.
The rest of the year isn't so bad for those that use a lotta electric - first 1200ish KWH are sorta pricy, but after that it's around 6.7 cents/KWH for the "anything over" third residential tier.

Quote

3.9c for 1kwh, 4.9c for 2kwh, 6c for more than 2kwh, 6mo from GEXA

and after the 6 month "teaser" what does it go to?

I still have 2 S7 coupons available at 0.1 Bitcoin each. I don't live on this board, so don't expect "instant" response to mails, but I WILL get back to you.

Thanks man, thats help me alot.

Actually, I received a replacement hash board for my S5 recently which has the many-small heat sinks, one attached to each asic chip, and it works great, and runs a LOT cooler than the old-style cooling system, where all the chips on the board have thermal paste on top of them, and they are all in contact with one large heat sink.

So I'm sure the S7 (and S5+) need far less fan power to keep them cool, which is why they can be packaged so much more densely.

-dave

You do not have the right twice.
1. many-small heat sinks are attached not to S5 chip . And You still need the large heat sink and thermal paste for cooling chip side of hashboard.

2. S5+ need more fan power to keep them cool as S5. Almost two times more.  The same tornado also be S7.
