Batch 13, unlucky for some? is up. Small reduction in price to $637, ships out from March 21st.

Rich

I see a batch 13 at under 600 usd for sure. And I do not see an s-7+.

I do not know if they will do a batch 14.

Well I got the batch 13 correct as for the price I was off.

637 is pretty good price.

Hello, evreryone

I was one of the ''lucky'' batch 1 owners.
failed from the start, random offline issues and afer a coupple of weeks only one board out of tree worked!
I sent back for RMA, 2 faling boards and controller board.
thing is i got back 3 boards no controller, will the S5 controller work in anyway with it causes cables are the same....
any help appreciated 2000 euro went to 700 $ in the waiting peride.

sorry bitmain your trusted and valued in my opinion but this sucks big time................!

Wow I thought I got fucked on my batch 1!

Hey tell you what I am renting some hash right now. I will point it at ck solo pool.

this was done before and they even said the last s-5's they sold were used.
Every single miner bitmain sells is "used".  I think they roi most (maybe all) of their gear in house before they sell them.
Bitmain runs their equipment like crazy, I wouldn't be surprised if one or two arrive DOA. Notice how each batch gets cheaper? That's because every batch is based off how much money they make from them (at least that's my theory). S7 B12 looks too good to be true, i'll hold off on them. No ROI expected anyways, so its basically another used s5 from ebay. No profit, and the only difference is that bitmain probably ran it a lot harder than a regular person would.

Batch 8 was really last big change.  They have kept same S7 design since then, where they made less chips and more frequency.  This change for sure made it more profitable as less chips.

The batches now are sold at lower prices due to difficulty, they seem to follow it.   We really don't read a ton of DOA considering amount sold.... so that is the good thing.    But it is true when you make a miner in batches you don't sit it in a box new waiting for it to ship out, it goes onto a rack and mines unless sold soon after made.   This goes for any company though on making miners no one let's them sit in boxes for long periods of time.

Hi BITMAIN,

Kindly ask YHQIN to check his Bitcoin Talk PM for our reply to release
the agreed upon BTC deposits sent to Bitmain for our RMA replacements.

Many thanks in advance and have an enjoyable weekend,

MikeMike

Hi BITMAIN,

I see we have been refunded the agreed upon amount
for our deposits on warranty parts.
Many thanks for your patience and being true to your honor
and in providing an acceptable, decent customer service.
I look forward to being in a position to once again
give you a fair amount of business.
Unfortunately I will have to start from scratch and
hope to grow it slowly.

I sent a PM to YHQUIN to thank him as well.

Wish you all the best,
 Smiley
Sincerely,
MikeMike

is this site reliable?http://www.antminerdistribution.com/

Never dealt with it.  I personally would get direct from bitmain if your wanting a new machine.  It honestly is best way.

If you are wanting used look on forum here or ebay is other two options.

no i do not want used miners and propably buy from bitmain again the only reason i asked was because the site claims to be fromEU and it is more easy for me to send them money bacause we have capital control in greece.

You know, there's nothing to say that Bitmain didn't internally didn't deploy an S7+ like apparatus. The controller had all 9 ports at one time, and they could have easily done so in-house without ever selling it to the public. If/when they decide to sell those units, they pop on two 3-port controllers and ship them out. Vacuuming them is optional to make them look more "new".....  Smiley

I just bought 11 more S7 B12.  Although, I do believe that there will soon be another more efficient model coming out.  BITMAIN usually comes out with a hybrid first, then sells used ones, then releases a new model.  I am not expecting this same trend this time.

What are your thoughts?

I think they will continue to aggressively lower prices to get as many of these units out the door as possible and will not even consider selling another more efficient miner until something concrete is released using BitFury chips.  Once you see them selling large numbers of used S7's (my last "new" batch 11 miner was obviously heavily used), you know they are populating their centers with the new miners.  I believe (perhaps wrongly) they already have prototypes of a 16nm chip running, which by my estimate means we will see a new miner from Bitmain using 16nm tech around early June.  I do not believe we will see a S7+ as the S5+ is viewed by Bitmain employees as a spectacular failure.

All of this is just baseless speculation by the way.

I see a batch 13 at under 600 usd for sure. And I do not see an s-7+.

I do not know if they will do a batch 14.

The only reason on S7+ would to sell them 3 miners at a time.  But your right they can do the same thing by lowering price... and then they have to make 0 changes and can use the IO board with 3 ports.

I just wish we knew internal price on these.  They have been able to drop price without issue it seems.  So curious what they actually pay as when we talk under 600 dollars that is a ton off of batch 1.

I have heard 400 to 500 .

But if they sell them at 550-600 they will be used.  this was done before and they even said the last s-5's they sold were used.
