So,
like promised,
here some infos and a couple of first pics from my Peltier-cooled R1 Mod...
(Sorry, links only, but I hope, I get the Full member status asap, so I´m able to insert the pics directly)
What I´ve done with the R1 before:
1. disabled the internal power supply and using a Powerbrick with 5 Volt/10 Amp as supply
2. first trying to use heatsinks on both sides of BM1384, but decided finally to reuse the original case, because it´s in my eyes a good solution for heat dissipation
3. using twice new cooling pads on each sides of internal BM1384 for more pressure and better cooling conditions!
4. Vcore Mod with pot for variable VCore between 0.6 up to 1V
5. adding a Vcore voltmeter
6. add an Sharkoon HPS1
7. add an Peltier solution
But here finally some pics
:
1. Sharkoon HPS1 Cooler stuffed with a 40x40 Peltier
2. Sharkoon HPS1 Cooler with Peltier saddled up on the R1 Mod
3. First try - in front the Peltier-Controller Board
4. First working Temp Measure: note(!) In=Ambient Temp 25.1C , and OUT=Minertemp! = 24,9C
5. First test @300MHz / Vcore 0.724 Volt
6. Second test @475MHz / Vcore 0.891 Volt working Temp Measure: In=Ambient Temp 24.7C (opened Window) and OUT = Minertemp=41,1C
7. Third test @475MHz / screwed up Vcore to 0.900 Volt
8. Closer look @R1 running on 475Mhz
9. Screenshot of my Power Measuring Software - Consumption between 25 and 27 Watts @475MHz
Update: added a Test-Screenshot after 26min of running my R1 @25-27GHs (06.05.2016)

Nice Frequencies. I am playing with my gekko at the moment, have done brief tests at 400MHz, but a few HW errors so need to do a mod to up the voltage as have run out of range on the pot.

!@Gekko VCore : I guess the value for the pulldown resistor to Ground is too high....?
For my R1 I used a 10k to ground from the pot, so its possible a max Vcore of nearly 1V.
@Nice frequencies: yes, I think its not bad for the beginning
But the major issue seems to be the ckpool, so very often I got stops there between 10 to 30 minutes

Yes, no prob, I´ll upload it asap
.But don´t be disappointed, it´s a first "quick´n´dirty" solution for testing
And unfortunately, as still a newbie status member here, It´s forbidden to post embedded pictures, only picture links are possible

Unfortunately it is dead.... and should, be put to rest. It is now just being used to control one of my gekko Miners, so not all is lost.

I think rich is right -- people are still finetuning their R1s and in that 1min brackets you will see weird hash like 100mhs or 100ghs.... my racer posted 111GHs this very moment, I don't know why.

Would it be better, if we switch to "hashrate5m" instead of "hashrate1m"?

I suspect 1 Minute is just too short a sample period and exposed to the timing of and number of shares that happen to be submitted in the period. I think 5 Minute would be better.
