Seems he removed his posts lol.

I think he came to his senses or he actually hit a block at antpool with his R1  Cheesy

I think I know which one it was  Roll Eyes

Sorry to everyone for the language. It does annoy me when people get like that. It's totally unnecessary. Anyway let's take a look at the standings.

We are all fun loving people - pls no foul mouth nonsense.
R1 Race is all about experimenting, learning, sharing and having fun.
Many people have contributed into this project and objectives are clear.
While I wish I hit a block with an R1 - getting a solo block with an R1 is like a miracle - it's almost impossible!
If Ant777 continues to be rude and unprofessional, we can always vote him out of the race.

Peace and keep on mining!

Well you guys can sit here and wank your cocks. I'm here to mine a block.

Good luck with that. The chance of you finding a block with an R1 is astronomical. Why do you think this Antrun was created? So that we know who finds a block? No. It's because those involved know full well the likelihood of finding one is never so why not just do something for fun.

Now take your shit attitude and shit suggestions and jog on if you don't want to be part of it.

Uhm, my what?  It's a stock R1 @ 137mHz.  I don't take this contest personally, so I don't care what position I am in.  8th is pretty good, top 1/3 for this round so far.

You're funny, like a baby troll in training.  Good luck.

lol, are you for real?

You're in the wrong place if you expect to mine a block, and talking trash to those of us that enjoy what we're doing here isn't going to win you any awards.

As said previously in this thread. If someone wants to risk damaging their R1 or whatever then so be it. If they score big then bravo for them as the hardwork in experimenting with it has paid off, but the risk of damage and being out of the race is high.

Im happy to let my little runt of an R1 hobble along doing his best at the highest freq he will take. He probably wont do any better than his bestever share, but what does it matter. Its the excitement checking in on the website in the vain hope that he may well surprise me and get in the lead for longer than a day lol.

Its a "fun run" after all. There's no BTC bet on it.........yet  Wink

I think everyone should run the same frequency.

And where would be the fun in that?  Smiley

Rich
Indeed! Everybody should be free to do what he wants to do with his one or more R1's in this race  Cool
But why do you claim on something while standing in the first position of the leaderboard?

It only takes 1 hash.

I think I have killed RichBC 2...  Angry I have been playing around pushing up the Frequency and trying to work out what the incompatibility is with the R1 and higher frequencies on solo.ckpool that does not seem to be there on any other Site.

Anyway a wire came off from the Pot that I use to adjust the core voltage and I think that caused the Core Voltage to go way high and has half killed the ASIC. I say half because it will still hash but the rate is very low and there are a large number of HW errors even at very low frequencies.

So be careful if you add an adjustment to the voltage to make things a bit more secure than i did....

I have pushed RichBC 1 up to 225Mhz, still completely standard with just a fan blowing on it to keep the temperature down. 225Mhz is the absolute highest I can get an R1 to go on solo.ckpool but can get to 250MHz on any other Pool with just a few HW errors.

BTW the frequency in the antrun.de pull down shows 225.25MHz and should just be 225MHz.

Rich

Too bad your R1 is damaged!  Embarrassed

Thank you for the info about the frequency. We will correct that in the next update.

Today my first little success, testing R1 with  [email protected]   Wink

..but only for a very short time Wink

andY

Nice.... Was that on ck.solo or another Pool?

Rich
Short tested with de.ckpool.org...

But I´ve recognized another interesting dependence...
When I access the R1 Web-Gui, while I test some high frequencies /vcore,
so it seems, thats the hashing-job stops earlier, than i kept it untouched...  Undecided
I can measure, power consumption rises, while accessing the Gui, plus 0.1 Watts

andY

Yes I have noticed that dependence, was not certain but always got the feeling that if I was using the Gui that stops were more frequent.

Have you tried disabling wireless and stopped the task that controls the U3? Again not certain but I feel that the load reduction reduces stops?

Rich
Yes, WIFI is disabled Smiley, but U3 task I´ve never touched...
Maybe thats an idea, ´cauz I feel too, that there is an dependence "load vs stops" ...

hi Rich,
ohh, that's very unfortunate  Cry

Hmmm, the datasheet says, the Vcore Range is (working) up to 1.1 volt  and maximum limit 1.2 Volt

Can you reproduce the vcore value you get, at the moment your pot fails?

andY

Not 100% certain I have a failure but looks like it. Trouble is that the pad I have soldered to came away and I had to find an equivalent point to solder to which was easier said than done because of the low impedance of the Inductor making it difficult to trace what went where.

Anyway the voltage adjusts fine so I think I have that correct, but although it will hash it's obviously not right as rate is very low and lots of HW errors even at 100Mhz, what is surprising is that it works at all?

To answer your question, at the moment I do not want to go OC again to make a measurement. However without the Pot in circuit there is no feedback from Vout to Pin 1 and I assume that the Buck will wind the volts right up, which could get close to 5V?

...Then the odd blow up.......  Smiley

LOL -- that's the fun of it.... the missus will prefer if we blow some R1s instead of blowing up an actual engine in the garage.  Grin
