I just tried it on XMR . Using self compiled 2.3.1 xmr stak. Also tried the precompiled  nanopool 2.4.1 version - same result.
I have zero xp with this version of the  miner, like I said - I've been using the old xmr-stak-amd with bc drivers ever since I have the rigs (already 7 months).

So what can be wrong here? What are the optimal settings with this new miner?

I haven't tried mining xmr recently.  Did you try running it from scratch and not using old config files? 1932 intensity and 2 threads used to give best results for cryptonight-normal algo.

EDIT: Just tried it on 2.4.2.  I get the same old 1960 H/s @ 1408/1100 clocks.

Hey , can someone help me setting up my Vega rigs for xmr mining ?

I had a perfect setup using xmr-stak-amd , with 1407/1100 settings, all cards reg modded etc.

Now with the new XMR-STAK I am facing following problem - all shares are rejected by the pool, when using these settings even with a single thread. Pressing R shows low difficulty share errors , wtf?

Oddly enough, I am getting all good results using the ETH settings I am using - 875 core / 1100 memory. Hashrate is significantly lower of course.

Any idea how to set this up right?

what are you mining?  Have you updated your miner?  Few cryptonight coins have forked out to different variants of cryptonight algos

@heavyarms1912

do you use the same soft_pp mod for your vega 64s (if u have 64s ofc)?
Or do you have a different one for 64s? If so can u post that one too?

Yes.  Although mine's a Vega 56 BIOS modded to V64.

EDIT:  Got better results on xmr-stak for crytonight-heavy.  Now get 1500 H/s at 1408/1100 clocks and 160w power from wall

Can someone recommend settings for sapphire vega 56 using OverdriveNTool? or any other tool if its better.
or if it's easier to share profile for overdrive tool.
Thanks

if it's a reference version with samsung memory then just use the following soft_pp mod
https://pastebin.com/GtfFJHML

Edit the below number with your GPU indexes (find in regedit)
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000]

Restart the computer and use OverdriveNTool or use cru utility below (no reboot required)
https://www.monitortests.com/forum/Thread-Custom-Resolution-Utility-CRU

You can undervolt in ONT futher if needed.

On a sidenote.  What are the hashrates people getting for Sumo-heavy algo on Vega?
Mine's down from 1960 to 1435 H/s

Mine are down to 1200, no difference between blockchain driver and 18.3.4 btw
What intensity do you use?

896 - 2 threads.  It's weird though.  I did get 1250 at beginning.  I overclocked it a bit and then got it back to original OC settings 1408/1100 and it was hashing at 1435 since then (even after miner restart).  I'll test more to confirm.

EDIT:  Seems to be a flaky.  Not able to reproduce similar results everytime.  Feels like a miner issue but it might be possible the real performance is close to 1435.
I observed 75-80% performance number on my RX570s mining cryptonight-heavy algo.

My Vega 56 does 47 MH/s on eth...thats a little over 50 bucks a month. Even at 2200 on cryptonight it does not come close to that, so not sure why people would mine that over eth.

Two 570's still does more in eth and costs less than a single vega. The only argument for Vega at this point is its slightly better Perf/watt, since even two rigs of 570s will cost less and produce more than a rig of vegas.
Holy hell how?! Mine does like 38...

Pretty much any reference Vega can get 44-45 H/s.  All you need is a soft_pp mod + OverdriveNT tool + V64 BIOS (If you're on a V56).
You can't get 44-45 on V56 without a BIOS mod.  You need to overclock + unlock voltage the memory (V56 has the voltage limited to 1.26V on HBM2, BIOS mod to V64 unlocks it to 1.36V)

I'd offer to buy a tune from you but I've only got 11 of them.  Undecided

So guys our VEGAs are now pretty much shit because they are doing only slightly better than RX 580s which are half the price. How do you guys feel about selling our VEGAs? Good decision or is there something coming up thats worth keeping them for? I know CN ASICs will die but i don't believe they will be profitable for much longer.

Lol what are you smoking?  Slightly better? Slightly? Really lol.. My vega FE can hit 2,250H/s on Cryptonight. Yea.. "slightly" better than a 580.

Last time I checked 8GB 580s on ebay are still going for 300 USD used. A 580 does half of what a vega hashes. With the new 18.3.4 you can run 12 on a single board @ ~24Kh/s. Go try and do 24kh/s on a single board using 480s/580s and let me know how well it goes.

My argument is mine whatever is more profitable for the card and trade it to whatever coin after. Have you looked at neoscrypt or raven?

for at least 1 year it has been more profitable to mine cryptonight and convert to eth, if you wanted to get eth. but only smart miners who didnt followed whattomine did this  Tongue

I barely know anyone here who mined ETH on Vegas.  If at all they did it would be dual mining.

We are talking about mining most profitable coin and converting to ETH though exchange..

Why would you mine ETH if you could mine cryptonight and trade it back for more ETH. No reason to buy RX 580/570 if you can get more coins from Vega.

Umm?  assuming 1000 hashes for an RX580 which cryptonight coin would you mine to convert to ETH and be more profitable than mining ETH in first place at 30 Mh/s?  Or are you suggesting mining cryptonight with Vega and swap with ETH?

The second option
