how do i get vega frontier edition to work properly?

I've tried 1703, 1709, using blockchain drivers, 17.2, 17.1 various registry files but for some strange reason,

I keep getting code 43 when i manually disable enable vega FE in dev mgr or it enables and hashes at 1500h/s

clean install of blockchain drivers on windows fall edition, set 2 threads at 2016

disable and re-enable Vega FE in windows device drivers, set overdriven tool settings to normal params (mem to 1100 to 1107) including fans and mine away

works for me?

Are you using risers?

0,5 ETC Reward for the best answer!!!!! (If that answer works)

Hi, I'm typically getting about 1850 h/s++(This card can handle 935 mem clock) and there's 2 card only can get 1808+ h/s (If I push further more than p3 910+ I got "Invalid AMD" using xmr stak and "!Rejected, nonce invalid" using cast xmr) with my Vega 56 powercolor red devil (Hynix memory) without flashing the BIOS. Any idea how to push my vega with hynix memory? I've been following guide vega.mining.guides.com but unfortunately still same. Only got 1808-1850 hashrate. (0.5 etc reward for best answer) thankyou~~~

My rig setup : Amdblockchain driver + Following Guide circusdad (Vega.mining.guide) using powertable P3 950/900 (But, unfortunately my card can't get pass 950. Most stable setting 905-930) P7 1407/950 .

My rig spec : Motherboard Asus Z270-P , 6x Rx Vega 56 Red Devil (Hynix), PSU 2xHx850I, Intel G4400, Ram 2x 4gb team elite 2400

My real Nightmare Problem : -Crap Hashrate can't get pass 1930++ hash -If I setup AMD txt on XMR STAK with double thread intensity 1932/1932 after a few hours later got freeze and I got massage "XMR STAK Application has been blocked from accesing graphic hardware" <--- this really annoying one.

That's pretty much how much the Hynix can go as far I have seen on any results posted unless you flash it to V64 bios (unfortunately, haven't seen them around).  You can probably try running neoscrypt algo coins since those are not memory bound and might be better on these AIB cards.  Should get ~2 KH/s @250w.

Even if you flash your VEGA 56 with a 64 bios, 1900 is still a good hashrate for maximum profitability. Doing 2000 H/s at 250w is simply not worth it because of poor power efficiency. Do i qualify for the 0.5 ETC? Lol.

Which miner do you use? My vegas hashing 2khs on xmr-stak 2.2.0 but only 1.5khs on 2.3.0 version. Any advices are appreciated.

P.s. did you saw that video? https://youtu.be/wUrt7DgSiDM

2.2 , cast xmr and also nicehash

It doesn't work for me. I don't get the same results as he did

Would two corsair hx1000W be perfectly fine/enough for 6x RX Vega 56 ?
does hx1000W have enough pci-e connectors?

Im running one hx1000 and one rx850w for a 6 vega rig no problem. There is enough pci-e connectors, some cards will need to use the daisy chain 2x6+2pin pci-e cables for power. Im sure the hx1000w has 5 pci-e terminals and comes with 2x 8pin-6+2pin and 2x 8pin-2x6+2pin cables

Also don't expect to mine faster than a RX580 if you are going to power your 6x Vega rig with 1000W.
Waste of a good rig if you ask me.
Just go out and buy an extra 750W PSU and unleash them GPUs.

I wrote TWO corsair psu  Smiley in original post. Ok so two will be fine then.

Depends... if you want to be stuck to mining cryptonight or ethereum, yes. Do the bios powerplay table mods and you'll sit at a comfortable 50-60% of each PSU's capacity at the wall. But don't expect to be able to run Lyra2Rev2 or Neoscrypt at full capacity. Looking back at my Vega Rigs I wish I'd gone for more power capacity to allow myself more flexibility in algo.

Live and learn.

No it's not enough.  You'd be really beating it out to the limits.

Two 1000 watt psu should be plenty to run 6 cards. You'll have to do your own research on pci-e connectors but again you should be fine

Oops my bad.  I read it as One hx1000.  Two HX1000 should be enough.  afaik hx1000 has 4 cables with 2 x (6+2) pcie connectors each.  Just get the molex powered risers.

My stable settings for Vegas and good power draw is core 1362@860 mem 1100@800 on Vega 64 (6x Vega = 980 - 1020 w ), on strix i have 1390@915 mem 930@815 and stable, Vega 64 amd reference give 2009 h/s and strix cards 1905, hynix memory cant get pass 1950 h/s anymore :/

wow this real? can get pass 1900 is more than enough for me. So, I must lower down my MV to 815?  and coreclock 1390 ? is that strix 56 or 64? and are u using cast xmr or xmr stak?

hollycow 250w, so 6x vegas =1500 watt on the wall,  that will blow up my PSU lol. is there any settings consume 150-200 watt? for neoscrypt algo

150-200w seems very unlikely without reducing the performance.  Neoscrypt is core bound algo.
