Have a question — I bought two Vega 56 that already have flashed bio from eBay. So how do you stock them back to original bios? TIA

Ppl are paying crazy money for vegas with blower fans when new cards with customs fans are around corner which will be cooler and more quiet. Why pay 600 if you can pre-order 550-600 new cards?

Because a card in hand is worth two pre-ordered.

Where can you pro-order these?

Quick question:

Can I have 4x Vega 56 in the same Rig?

Currently:
2x 570
2 out of 6 PCIe slots occupied.

Windows 10
You can.
You might spend days troubleshooting, but yes, you can. Cheesy

To be perfectly honest I don't know how painful it is. I have just seen a lot of posting around here from people experiencing issues. But then again you only need one AMD card to have issues! Cheesy

Thank you for your reply. As stated here http://vega.miningguides.com, with windows 1709 problems are not reported any more with > 3 Vegas. Can somebody verify it?

I've been mining on my vega 56 for 2 months now and most of it i've been using Whatman to setup.

Lately i've been trying OverdriveNTool and the profiles on vega.mininguide but it hasnt been as stable as it is with whatman.
My Saphhire has issues with 950mhz on memory, i've tried tweaking the profiles but i've never got anything relieable, ends up crashing or blue screen eventually.

On whatman i use -30% Core, 935/940 Mhz memory and -20% Power and this is the most stable setup.

Anyone else having these issues with OverdriveNTool ? which config should i do to replicate these settings?

I dont know how you got 1900h with only 925mhz on the memory.   GPU core sure doesnt matter as much but I find if I adjust memory speed at all it brings down the hash speed right away, I stay as close to 1105mhz as possible, anything below 1050mhz will definetly show.
I do think its possible to run the top speeds even at 900mv if the temps are all below 70c.   I use a cold air intake from a window, its winter now so its not hard when temps are 5c outside ?

The latest AMD driver release  allows swapping of config files apparently, saved defaults for various protocols sounds possible.  However they dont switch to compute priority for every type of hashing, havent fully tried yet

Any UK users have got this and using the AMD VEGA cards?

Mind sharing the price and source to get them, I've been trying really hard to get the RX 580 from past 3 months but no luck, any help from UK users would be much appreciated.

Hope I get some answers, thanks.

You are a bit late to the party.  The best deals was on release.   We are in transition now hence the lack of stock.   I suggest you look at overclockers.co.uk and join the forums and look out for deals, not that I know of any forthcoming like I said

1100 core with 1025 memory, both at 875mV (set with wattman, or overdriventool) on blockchain driver definitely works on vega 64 with no mods , and yields over 1900 H/s at low consumption. And is stable.
So there is still room for exploration here.

Something's very weird. If I try 1100 core @ 875 and 950 hbm @ 900mV miner crashes after a few seconds. It's like the memory is hitting a wall above 930. Sad
Ok so I just realised the GPUs aren't taking the OverdriveNtool settings apart from fan speed and memory clock. Core clock does whatever the fvck they want and so do the voltages. HWinfo64 shows 1.25V on the memory despite me having set it at 900mV... Tongue I think I'm going to give Wattman a go Sad

Blockchain drivers dont support voltage adjustment. So it has to be done with softpp mod, overdriventool has a builtin editor for it. 2nd, hbm volts are offlimits, only way to mod it is to switch between v56 and v64 bios. V64 has 1.35 and v56 has 1.25v.
Thanks, that's a useful piece of info. The guides are good but I hadn't explicitely read about the fact the softpp mod was required to access voltages. I'll look into it in a bit more detail.

Hello,

is there any way to save/auto-switch/auto-start the HBCC on radeon settings? cuz it needs to be switched on with every reboot  Huh Undecided

thanks a lot

well it's not that simple. It actually takes the values...sometimes... ghm...and I'm yet to discover what are the circumstances.
Also this weird core curve is needed to bring memory above 800... it all looks weird
-.-
Can you explain that to me? Are the values dynamically linked to eachother somehow?

I'm seriously considering selling the 3 I have used taking my profit and converting the build to NVIDIA. Additionally, the fan noise annoys me.

Sounds like a good plan to halve your hashrates Cheesy

unless you really really really like zcash!

Did a preorder on a custom Powercolor Vega 56 on scan.co.uk... Estimated delivery date slipped from December 18th to January 30th!!!  Sad Sad Sad Sapphire estimated delivery date is January 10th!!

Some nasty delays happening ATM. Just so that you guys know what to expect!

decided to keep them, I think it diversifies my small operation better. It's still frustrating, fuckin AMD

there's a lot more to mine with nvidia than equihash though....

Who is Best Vega64 cards??
Sapphire, XFX ?? or other?
I have 2x HIS v64, 6x gigabyte v56, 4x sapphire v56, 4x XFX v56. They are all identical cards that was made by amd. One v64 has brown pcb. Some stats:
v64 obviously works without issues @ 1400 0.9v / 1100 0.9, i think 99.9% of v64 should works fine with this config
13/14 v56 flashed to v64 bios, one v56(gigabyte) crashes after some time with v64 bios even if set to 1200 0.1v core 800 0.95v hbm, but works fine with own bios @ 1350 0.1v 1000 0.95v hbm
4/13 flashed v56 works @ 1400 0.9v (1 gigabyte, 2 XFX, 1 sapphire)
7/13 flashed v56 works @ 1400 0,925v (4 gigabyte, 2 XFX, 1 sapphire)
1/13 flashed v56 works @ 1400 0,935v (1 sapphire)
1/13 flashed v56 works @ 1400 0,965v (1 sapphire), unable to set lower voltage but temperatures are same as 0,9v cards (sensor bug?)

for custom cards sapphire looks very good but has 3 8-pin
