I'm use two PSU in my rig an Thermaltek 700W (2x rx580 + 1x vega 56) and EVGA 700W (3x vega 56) total = 2x rx580 + 4x vega56 (6 cards) and works fine.

My 6x Vega 56 rig on Onda D1800 finally works like a charm.
Averaging 1940 h/s per GPU so just over 11600 in total, for 1350W at the wall.

For the records, that's better than my two 7x RX570 rigs combined (11200 h/s for 1650W), without any single bios, SOC or soft power play mods.

Those bloody Vegas really are good.

I only wish CastXMR would allow you to set failovers...

Those numbers are pretty bad tbh.. You might want to modify/tweak your cards a bit more. This guy on youtube is getting 15.5kh/s using  only 1400W.

Which driver version should we use for Vega 64 and polaris in the same rig. My 570s always show with yellow triangle when vega is installed. It was working before a windows update, now I could not get them running together.

Also I'm selling this rig: 2x Vega 64, 1x Vega frontier, 2x Rx 570, Riser, mobo, ram , cpu, ssd included. I'd just like to standardize my farm to full nvidia.

Can someone explain me step by step please how to mine electroneum on gandalph3000 cast xmr v0.7. I try but it cannot connect me to pools. I think I am doing something wrong. Thank you.
Monero is now longer profitable. You can make 3x more money on elcetroneum.

Hey mike

How are you dealing with the hashrate drop those card have?  are you running a batch do reset the cards?
To be honest, I haven't experienced any significant cases of hashrate drops so far. I've got the occasional crash / lockup (not too sure why yet) but overall hashrate has been pretty consistent.

I've yet to look at the scripts that are around, I've got a basic devcon one but I need to beef up the monitoring & automated miner checking/restarting.

Also just to state, the vega 56 doesn't work on non UEFI motherboards. I learned the hard way.

Huh

I have 4 * Vega 56 pumping 7800 h/s on an ASUS p5kse released May 2007

I'm very optimistic regarding the vega cards.

Right now hashrates may be low mainly due to the non availability of optimized miners and driver software.

But it's a beast on cryptonight and I think will perform well on other algos once miner software improves. The sheer transistor count reflects on hashrate figures imo.

I've backread a few pages but can't seem to find the lowest power consumption possible for a VEGA 64 mining monero, anyone?

I know this isn't the selling thread but by any chance anyone willing to sell me a second hand (but working well with no issues) RX VEGA 56 reference design (MSI/XFX/PowerColor/Gigabyte)? I am willing to escrow payment amounting to $750 for the card alone and extra for shipping to Asia. I just need one to complete a rig.

I PM-ed you on the possibility of offering my Vega56 up for sale, but wasnt able to reply due to PM limitation. Is it possible for us to take this somewhere else like Skype?

Thanks.

You definitely need to do the powerplay if you are concerned with powerdraw. Otherwise it mostly even does not matter what voltages you set manually.

You cant get much more than 1950 out of them. I havent seen a reliable way to up the SOC clock with out significantly increasing powerdraw.

You can get 2080h with 1400mhz core / 1199mhz SoC / 1199mhz HBM with a 30%/50w increase in powerdraw. With some mods the cards would crash instantly without core @ 950mv. On some it will work with <900mv settings but it still actually draws 950mv.

I found that the extra 130h @ 50w and much higher temps are not worth it for me.

I know RednoWs reg worked on some cards with high SoC and low voltage but on most cards it will not work and I cant figure out what makes it work on some and not others....

Maybe silicon lottery...

where can i find info on the power play mod please

Start with YouTube:  find Oldcomer's two part video, Cryptonight is covered in part 2.

Reddit:  find Hellae's "definitive Vega mining guide" which is a little out date, last I looked.

Search for Vegamining blog authored by @Circusdad and read through that.  It is the most up to date guide.

Without riser? Pics?
How about temperatures, which rpm on fans?
So I finally got my Onda D1800 working with six Vega56's plugged in and hashing happily.
Set clocks at 1407/935 (900mV on the mem).

Hashing at approx 1920H/s per card.

Any suggestions on how to get this higher? Have not flashed nor played with power table...

Find brnstead's PowerPlayTable, it was the most stable one for me.  The PPSoftPowerPlay table just has to get past boot.  After boot, you can refer to @Circusdad's vegamining blog to figure out how to script it so that your custom OverDriveNTool profiles are applied card by card.  You also want to look into bumping up SOCC.  Page 82 on the overclock.net Preliminary thoughts about Vega is helpful.

You can go to 1950/1960 H/s by dropping P7 to 1376-1384 or so, 890mv and increasing P3 to 1100 or 1080, 870mv.  I have Vega 56's, you can go higher if you have Vega 64.

reference models are always built from best components but can be loud and hot due to 1 blower fan.
non-refs will be pain to downclock and downvolt if they make custom bioses )) Also if they find hynix hbm instead of samsung one - it will be some pain too. So I would recommend to find refs if you can ))

Do you think it will be possible to buy custom cooling system with 2 or 3 fans for Vega with ref design ?
