I watched a few reviews but all the stock makes are quite similar apart from warranty conditions.   XFX Ive always rated as well made, I have a card of theres which is still solid after about 8 or 9 years of use.

Powercolor Ive heard rates as good clocks but not to a massive extent just opinions by some.   The AIB cards still havent made enough difference yet and as a miner the price isnt cheaper so theres no real advantage.  The only positive over stocks for sure is to either self mod it with a much bigger heatpipe setup or I think water cooling is the best Vega64 card.   The AMD design or any others will help especially if not undervolted, but most are UV.
Personally I dont mind the fans but the clocks achievable are probably slightly better with water, thats the only obvious advantage from more expensive cards so far.

At some point in the future I expect AMD will release an updated revision to the Vega64.   Some say it will be 12nm instead of 14nm. It'll probably be similar to the Rx480 to Rx580 maybe it will run a bit cooler hopefully.

filled up 3/7 slots on a new build with 56's at MSRP. I don't think I will ever be able to fill out the last 4 at a reasonable price.

I'm seriously considering selling the 3 I have used taking my profit and converting the build to NVIDIA. Additionally, the fan noise annoys me.

I'm giving it another month or so.

I dont know how you got 1900h with only 925mhz on the memory.   GPU core sure doesnt matter as much but I find if I adjust memory speed at all it brings down the hash speed right away, I stay as close to 1105mhz as possible, anything below 1050mhz will definetly show.
I do think its possible to run the top speeds even at 900mv if the temps are all below 70c.   I use a cold air intake from a window, its winter now so its not hard when temps are 5c outside ?

The latest AMD driver release  allows swapping of config files apparently, saved defaults for various protocols sounds possible.  However they dont switch to compute priority for every type of hashing, havent fully tried yet

Any UK users have got this and using the AMD VEGA cards?

Mind sharing the price and source to get them, I've been trying really hard to get the RX 580 from past 3 months but no luck, any help from UK users would be much appreciated.

Hope I get some answers, thanks.

You are a bit late to the party.  The best deals was on release.   We are in transition now hence the lack of stock.   I suggest you look at overclockers.co.uk and join the forums and look out for deals, not that I know of any forthcoming like I said

1100 core with 1025 memory, both at 875mV (set with wattman, or overdriventool) on blockchain driver definitely works on vega 64 with no mods , and yields over 1900 H/s at low consumption. And is stable.
So there is still room for exploration here.

My 6x Vega 56 rig on Onda D1800 finally works like a charm.
Averaging 1940 h/s per GPU so just over 11600 in total, for 1350W at the wall.

For the records, that's better than my two 7x RX570 rigs combined (11200 h/s for 1650W), without any single bios, SOC or soft power play mods.

Those bloody Vegas really are good.

I only wish CastXMR would allow you to set failovers...
Are the cards too closely? what's the temp and fan speed?
Yes, cards are definitely too close. I had to back down a little. HBM runs at 925MHz for 900mV. HBM Temp is between 70 and 80C. Can't push frequency higher or it'll crash. So 1900H/s per card, no throttling, no crashing. If I lower TDP by 10% core speed and hashpower is throttled immediately.

I bought Vega 56 Power Color and Sapphire. I did not sew in 64. Power Color holds 950. Sapphire - no (920 max).

I am a proud 16 GPU VEGA 64 LC user from London.
How were you able to get your hands on 16 Vega 64s!? I just recently put in a few back orders. Going to get 3 Vega 64's and 5 RX 570s. I just can't wait around any longer for them to become available. They're flying off the shelves as soon as they get there.

I had 8 already for the last 7 weeks and I just purchased the other 8 like a week ago on top of that for the 599 price. I was lucky I guess.

Hi I am just going through the vega mining guides and i am upto the enableulps section
when i go into regedit and nav to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} and click into the folders no device description appears for my gpu's

i am running 2 vega 64 liquids and 2 RX580's

I get driverdesc Radeon RX 580 series
and 687F:C0

folder 0001 and 0003 Shows 687F:C0
Folder 0002 and 0004 shows Radeon RX 580

i have inputted OverdriveNtool and have put OverdriveNTool.exe -r1 -r4 -p1Vega64 -p4Vega64 and the fans operate as they should

i am about to do the pp MOD do i use folders 0001 and 0003

i dont want to mess things up here
I haven't the reg line about device description too for whatever reason. But this is not a problem. You may follow the guide.
Thanks. now just to get my head around the registry edits never done this before  Shocked

687F:C0 is a Vega hardware ID, you should be fine applying the tables.

Hey everyone !

I'm facing a problem with a, ASUS Z270-P mobo, and a SAPPHIRE VEGA 64 graphic card. I've been following closely this tutorial : http://vega.miningguides.com/ and yet, after 2 days of countless installs, BIOS settings, DDU abusing, I just can't get it working. Like not even got close to it.

I read somewhere that these particular mobos are pretty difficult to get running. I've only used H81, so far, and as all seems to point to this very part of the machine, I was wondering if anyone had troubles with it, and could share his experience [and eventually the solution]

+ Mobo BIOS up-to-date [but read somewhere, once, it had to be downgraded to earlier versions]

+ BIOS Setup :

-----DMI Max Link Speed -> Gen2/Gen3
-----PCIEX16_1 link speed -> Gen 2/Gen3
-----PCI Express Configuration -> Gen 2/Gen3
-----Enabled(above 4G)

+ Fresh W10 install [UEFI]

+ Blockchain driver - Inevitably fails with BSOD atikmpag.sys issue [both W7 and W10] before finishing

Any help ?

I have a rig of 5 x gtx 1080ti and one vega56 (flashed as vega64) working on this mainboard
actually everything working good from the first time as I added the vega
hm.
try this one, remove all vegas, start your rig on internal vga, flash new bios, load defaults, save restart
then enter bios and set 4G decoding and every where PCIE GEN2, disable sound and serial port
add through riser one Vega = check it would work, if yes add one by one the rest

Yep, thanks. Have tried that all already. The GPU also stopped working as main display, and same results on a H81 mobo, so basically... RMA'd

Damn !

Hi Guys,

At every reboot of my rig i need to apply settings in Wattman, i just want to know if i can apply automatically by overdriventool, or i need something more?

Thx

Follow this http://vega.miningguides.com/ guide.

Wattman is nothing but trouble....

It depends.  I have a rig just using wattman and since it never goes down or loses power, it never restarts and just hashes away.  rock stable.  of course its better to NOT use wattman but whatcanyoudo.

After some back and forth, I have opted to install wattman on my rigs. For whatever reason, my stability is way better with wattman installed. Now, I only open it once after the first install to turn off hbcc, crossfire, and follow the old steps to apply my soft table - after that its all overdrive. Works perfectly - never had any hash drop problems either.
