WHO is just republishing the government provided data. And the latter is extremely unreliable.

A example is here:

http://www.nytimes.com/2014/11/14/world/africa/in-ebola-outbreak-in-liberia-a-familys-strength-can-be-its-fatal-flaw.html?_r=0

In the article, it is clearly said that people are secretly burying ebola victims, in order to prevent quarantine being imposed on their villages.

Still on uptick.

West Africa:
As of November 9, 2014
(Updated November 12, 2014)

Total Cases: 14098
Laboratory-Confirmed Cases: 8715
Total Deaths: 5160

And in Congo it is flattening.

Total Cases

As of November 9, 2014
(Updated November 14, 2014)

Total Case Count: 66
Total Case Deaths: 49
Laboratory Confirmed Cases: 38
How did you get this information if the WHO has stopped publishing data?

I think the WHO is still performing but they're just not the same without John Entwistle.

Greatest Bassist ever.

WHO provides information to the CDC which the CDC then folds into its reports.

The WHO hasn't published status reports for many days now. Anyway, no reliable data is available for both Liberia and Sierra Leone, where entire villages are being wiped out from the map due to Ebola.
This is because data is not available as these places do not have the reporting mechanisms that are available in the developed world.
It is less because of a lack of reporting mechanisms and more a lack of reporting.  The "reporting mechanisms" are OK.  They even have mobile phones!

FWIW, We are still getting data, but it has been a longer interval than usual (about a week).  This could be a good thing.

"The outbreaks of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) in Senegal and Nigeria were declared over on 17 October and 19 October 2014, respectively. A national EVD outbreak is considered to be over when 42 days (double the 21-day incubation period of the Ebola virus) has elapsed since the last patient in isolation became laboratory negative for EVD."

4960 dead on the last count of 13268 cases (Nov 7)
http://www.cdc.gov/vhf/ebola/outbreaks/2014-west-africa/case-counts.html
With a little bit of luck, this will mean that ebola is finally under control and is no longer spreading.
Around the same time that ebola started to spread a few years ago there was another outbreak that had only claimed a handful of lives (~17) and was quickly controlled

Creepy huh, I have never seen such big gaps in the raw data. I guess a lot of places are now inaccessible?

There had been a number of cases when someone would get sick and then claim to have just gotten back from Africa only to have their claim debunked by the lack of travel records and confirmation by their employer that they have been at work, in the US, during the time they claimed to have been traveling.

What a bizarre claim. Do you have any evidence for this?
There was a case in DC when someone was throwing up on a bus near the pentagon who was claiming they had just gotten back from east Africa
There is possibly a thousand false alarms for every credible case.

Lots of folks crying wolf.
They are/were probably hoping to get people to "donate" to them and their families to "help them get past" their exposure to ebola.

Ebola has dropped off the media map. Elections are obviously over.
Number of infections is still increasing.

But the over-reaction in the news has subsided.

Not bizarre.  Stockholm Syndrome at work.

Just like when a serial murderer is being sought, various nutjobs call in and claim to be him.

It didn't seem so bizarre to me (remember that fully 1% of people are insane).
So google and two clicks gave this:
http://www.wdsu.com/news/local-news/new-orleans/health-officials-in-jefferson-parish-monitoring-patient-transported-by-hazmat-crews/29068030

This is why I think the CDC is having more trouble managing the disease of EbolaPanic than they are of managing Ebola, and thus the disinformation on their website.
