Hi
I went bullish on ARDR a while ago and am happy with current gains - actually i'm surprised at how well it is doing. Even when BTC was having it's fits a few days ago ARDR stayed higher (%wise) than the rest of my portfolio.
So i was wondering how come it is so strong?
i did do a thorough research about it ~2 months ago, but i guess i missed something. What is driving it's price in april/may? (i know about the updates in june, but that's a month away)

Can we forge the Ardor just like NXT? Or are they all distributed already?

For now Ardor are assets inside Nxt network, you can't forge with them, you can only trade them.
When Ardor platform is launched in Q3, you will be able to forge with them on the Ardor platform.
Ardor is all distributed, was gradually distributed last year over 3 months (July-October).

Technical fundamentals are solid. It doesn't mean this has been a significant factor in recent price jump but at least Ardor has a strong base and maybe, just maybe some smart investors start to take notice. But what will be the purpose of Ardor token in this network? If anyone can create its own token and charge transactions with this token, isn't Ardor token useless in this case?
Purpose of Ardor token is to generate blocks and to process transactions for all child chain tokens.
Ardor tokens are virtual mining gear.

You can build a bunch of new applications and different designs inside the blockchain without the NXT limitations. You could for example open a blockchain to record business documents and have all your documents secured by the Ardor Network without adding gigabytes in the main blockchain cause you can set an archival node.
In the current NXT blockchain the users need to use nxt coin, but with Ardor you can set your own child chain and charge the user transactions with your own token and it can be a token backed by USD, Euros or wwzsocki's Coin.
This solves problems like scalability issues, cross chain trade tokens and others. The NXT team is one more time leading the blockchain tech industry to a whole new level.
