very irrelevant when comparing bitcoin with altcoin because both of them have their own goals. so I don't see anything better than both.

in my opinion bitcoin will still be the best. because now there are rarely altcoins that can last long in crypto. most altcoins don't develop because after the ICO project is finished the developers don't continue to develop tokens. they only pursued the purchase of ICO tokens and finished and the coin crashed. so it's better to invest in bitcoin than in altcoin. bitcoin remains the best in crypto even though the value is now down.
I think now it is better not to invest in altcoins, probably just better to keep bitcoin and wait for the market to turn around and then buy

I don’t think so, a lot of us who buy altcoins still have Bitcoin. Everyone buy Bitcoin before talking about altcoins, and I haven’t seen anyone holding only altcoins. So that means that Bitcoin is still reigning. BTC controls the whole cryptocurrency market and is in the lead all the time, I don’t see any altcoin getting better than it is now, though some are predicting Ripple will take its place, but don’t forget that same thing was said of Ethereum but it never happened. Bitcoin remains the best.
I think this is just the same when the bitcoin down, altcoin is also the majority of the decline. Perhaps if this is better at a time when some fall bitcoin can ride and can deliver results. but for the whole of the existing, bitcoin still being the best among another crypto.
I think bitcoin will still be the best even though now its value has dropped dramatically bitcoin remains the main coin in cryptocurrency. because when bitcoin goes down then all altcoins will also go down. and make the market red like now. so that we better keep investing in bitcoin even though the value of bitcoin is down this is a good opportunity to buy more. investing in altcoin has a greater risk because when bitcoin goes down altcoin will also go down and it can crash then zero.

In what terms do you ask if altcoins are better than bitcoin now? I think on the transaction speed, many altcoins are much better than bitcoin but bitcoin is the foundation of the cryptocurrencies that makes it better than the rest of cryptos.
The current market condition is not a problem with Bitcoin alone but the entire crypto market. There is almost a general market fall but that does not mean any of these coins affected are not good. The recent fall in price of Bitcoin was as a result of the miners hashrate and due to the impatience of some holders, this was followed by sell offs which led to panic selling - the more reason for the sudden and massive drop in market value.
The market will recover anyway, hence it is necessary for all crypto users and investors to stay calm and patiently hold as we continue to promote crypto to raise the market value.

altcoin is definitely better now than bitcoin because when you invest in altcoin you have a choice here so the more likely it is that you get more money here as well as when you bitcoin investing you will earn a little because of its price drops.

- SNIP -yeah everyone notices that the price of bitcoin is continuosly going down but this aint only happening to bitcoin's value because all cryptos here are actually affected and that includes altcoins and tokens ( e.g er20 tokens , waves tokens , etc ) . now with that explanation i certainly disagree that altcoins are better than bitcoins because bitcoin is the only controller of all the price of cryptos .
There is so much potential for these altcoins, especially when it can serve as a great financial tool, in general. For instance, I came across the Virie Market (it’s token is called Virie). It is basically a comprehensive financial instrument as it also comes complete with an escrow system, and exchanges can be made without a broker. It also puts a premium on privacy. You don’t need to disclose your identity or the purpose of the payments and you can transfer any sum without providing anyone with any data. And this seems to be just one aspect of a much larger project. So yeah.. I agree that altcoins have a bright future and could prove to be better than bitcoin

all possibilities can occur without being able to ensure the development of any crypto currency at this time and in conditions and situations like today we must be clever in utilizing every opportunity we will get
easily. Altcoins have such lower market caps and are much more likely to boom than the bigger coins like bitcoin, xrp, etc. I'm going to invest in projects invested in by the likes of Softbank which are gaurenteed to pop in the next bull run.
Despite the fact that the price of bitcoin has been dropping continuously, i don't think that altcoins are better than bitcoin. I believe it is a matter of time bitcoin would rise again and reach peak. However, other altcoins have also been dropping at the same rate.
I term of technology, that is possible cause every new coins have their newer development time that possibly to have implementing new technology.
