Although the Bitcoin dominance is presently dropping, many people are still more comfortable with buying bitcoin than investing in altcoins. As a result, only when alts gather attention and look primed for a rally do people decide to buy them. Hence the seeming boycott of alts.

I think BTC's dominance recently has been due to the halving, once the hype dies down, I'd expect altcoin popularity to rise again
Now people are only interested in the good altcoins and bitcoin in this market, it makes the altcoins outside the top 100 have no liquidity like before. So the dominance of bitcoin is increasing and there is no sign of going down. In the future I think bitcoin's dominance will continue to rise
Mostly people interested in major altcoins but some may still play with crap altcoins consider taking the advantage from the pump that happened periodically. From what you are saying have proven if altcoin is not boycotted and it will never happen for sure.

Yes I think the same, Altcoins will never be boycotted. There are good coins and meme coins I invest in both but only the 30% in memes because it's very risky but you can also do good gains. Btw invest in the top 50 alts on CMC is always a good method for evitate scams

Because after all people really need the right coins as their investment. and all that they get when investing in BTC. especially if sometimes we are wrong in predicting the price of altcoin and feel loss when investing in some altcoin. Therefore avoiding greater risk, of course BTC is the right solution

Not entirely true. Everyday I am witnessing pump-and-dump cycles occurring with medium-sized and lesser known altcoins. I am not sure whether this is happening solely due to the market manipulation. There must be some interest from the ordinary investors as well. Because it is not possible to conduct pump-and-dump from market manipulation alone.

The ICO and Bullrun mania of 2017 is still fresh on the mind of people. Most projects end up executing the roadmaps on the pages of the WheitePapers without building any tangible product. Investors are so careful about Altcoins now.
You are right, Most Project Developers right now are rushing things up putting up a project without thinking what the outcome would be because they are being enticed by what cryptocurrency can give them once they are able to fool possible investors to gamble on their projects. It's all about money they can get, and will project stagnant and investors hangging.

I think the dominance of BTC has been great so this is just people's perception because the price of BTC is more stable than Altcoin.
there is no boycott for altcoin which is good.
except for the unpopular it could be only a manipulation of a few people.
It seems that its because of the current market situation over the past month. People don't try their luck on new altcoins anymore and they now prefer to invest in BTC and othet altcoins that are present in top 20 list in CMC. They don't trust most of the new altcoins because of what happen to the previous altcoins that immediately dump after become listed in exchange. Some people need a job right now and not investing.

Bitcoin dominance is above 65% which is something unusual since Altcoins started getting more interest from investors. It also seems that this percentage is increasing steadily for quite some time now. This is not surprising since Bitcoin was the most profitable coin in 2019 and people don't take the risk investing in altcoins anymore, they realized that Bitcoin is less risky as the price almost always eventually recover afterwards when it comes to BTC.
So what  to do you think? Are altcoin getting boycotted, giving Bitcoin an increasing dominance from now on?
Imo you miss one important thing - even tho bitcoin dominance is growing, it doesn't mean altcoins are not growing in general.
It is a fair race and alts are trying to keep up at this point, but I swear its only a matter of time when they will overtake the bitcoin

I think the facts are very clear about Bitcoin dominance of above 60%,we heard about Bitcoin halfing coming up very soon which is a major and powerful event in the crypto space, however altcoins prices might follow the positive trend movement soon because Bitcoin cannot continue to moon without creating a positive impact on altcoins prices. There are also some stable altcoins in the market that behave like Bitcoin in the market. Infact 2020 is a year of crypto positive changes due to the effect of the global pandemic Covid-19, many countries currencies are failing so they need alternate currencies to boost their economies

Really it will not happen that other altcoins will be Boycotted. There are lots of coin in the crypto world that is good and beneficial, altcoins have a high risk ratio, which is probably why people are so hesitant to invest in altcoins. But some coin obviously will be boycotted which is not any potentiality and which is fake.
Someone's doubt to invest in altcoin certainly has its own reasons, because everyone is obviously doing research before making an investment in any coin, so Altcoin which has value and benefits will certainly be everyone's choice.
It depends on the altcoins you invest if the project has high potential of success and being liquidfy. Investing on altcoins is very risky and almost altcoins now a day had no potential, if your planning to invest altcoins it is more safe to invest ethereum.

The natural cyclus of cryptocurrency´s growth consist of these stages:
1. Bitcoin´s price growth, then price stabilizes and investors start looking for another sources of income
2.  Then altcoin start pumping, after that investors again start looking for something else
3. ICOs and IEOs experience a boom again.
4. market crash and then back to the first stage.   Wink

There's no people who will boycott altcoins, they just don't see it a good investment at the moment because the market is very unstable so they will focus investing on bitcoin since is the most popular coins in the market, altcoins will definitely have their own time, we will see them pump again in time.

I agreed with you that Bitcoin dominance more than 65% in the Crypto world. And you want to know that Are others Altcoins getting boycotted? My answer is not. The other coin will not be Boycotted in the future. Because people used others Altocoins at least 35%. It's not too low. And right now most of the Altcoins are pretty good potential. That's why people used Altcoins and they earn money.

I know that there are many coins (without Bitcoin) that are not stable. So maybe everyone is trading / investing in bitcoin. Because there is less chance of damage and the amount of damage is less. But in the crypto world, there are many coins besides Bitcoin that are worthwhile. They are much less likely to be losers.

Bitcoin is a highly valued coin which is at least one of the reasons why its dominance keeps beating that of altcoins. Once there is a good movement in the market, most people moves out of altcoins to Bitcoin because it is known that most times bitcoin offers more gains. Also, most people are now conscious of where they invest especially in terms of altcoins when knowing that most are just for pump and dump with nothing good to show for. Therefore in my own little opinion, I think most people are going into Bitcoin because it is safer while only sticking around to just few altcoins, and most times it is major altcoins.
