Monero is used mosly for shady deals because it is untraceable. (I doubt about that, because one dude who opened a shop on a dark web for selling drugs was cached by police last week. I really love your great analysis of the entire altcoins saga. I have been wondering about the reason they were created. In every corner you go, you only hear discussion on Bitcoin and Ethereum alone. The rest altcoins with all due respect are just pump and dump scheme.

I think if there's no altcoins this crypto will be boring if there's three coins will be used. Maybe bitcoin, ethereum and monero is enough but did you think that alts is have good contribute? Like some projects that can help the crypto to make useful. Many things will be consider before you say that altcoin is useless.
Every coin were created for a specific purposes and functions in the field of cryptocurrency. Only that some of the coins are not being utilized or not effective in the current systems. Also, some of them do not function as they were designed to.
Not all of them, but there are a lot of useless alts. Generally speaking I use only ethereum and probably I will be using vite( I adore their wallet and after main net launch I will probably use their wallet and dex)

In this time the altcoins are also performing well so if we are saying every investment is not valuable it is not a true statement because there are good investment is also there for standard your future to be a bright life is available.
Majorly on the number if the alts in the market that is something I can't even know some existing at all cos I only know of the one in exchange I trade with and also most popular ones that are good and have a very good team .
And on the other hand about if they are useless or what having, I think alts are reason many still in the market and having alts to change with btc give chance to have more btc value and that gives a huge profit instead of just the btc .

The vast majority of the alts are useless and there is no doubt regarding it. But at the same time, there are a lot of alts which are useful. For example, Monero is an altcoin which gives the user complete anonymity. Cardano is an altcoin which is technologically more advanced than Bitcoin. There are so many examples. So can't say that all of them are not useful for us.
There are more useless altcoins than useful projects. You have to choose the good projects with real-world use cases. Or projects with a working product and good partnerships.
It seems to me that the Altcoins are much more useful to others. Because it is the Altcoins that can make a profit both in long distances and in short ones. And the profit will not take long. Moreover, there are many coins from which you can choose.
To be honest, this is a false allegation which has no evidence. How can altcoins be useless? I must say that its altcoins that generated income or profits sometime ago for me. I agree though there may be shit coins especially among the altcoins, there are great alternative coins too.
Let me ask question on top your question, if altcoins are not needed, what then is the need for diversification? Why then is the word competition? The coins you mentioned will one day phase out or the developers get tired, that's why there is need for others to come up with better ideas where those ones falters. Besides traders are making a whole lot from altcoins daily.
For me they are not and im sure that many people here are the same with what i see in altcoins ,because altcoins was totally giving me an extra income while i hold it because literally i use altcoins for my everyday life for example buying some foods and there an altcoin that i can use to buy it,so having altcoin for us was totally great and glad.
